The Ministry of Health has disclosed that it has been working in furnishing and equipment of 11 general, specialist hospitals and medical towers with a capacity of 2,200 beds, with the latest state-of-the-art technology of global medical and non-medical equipment and supplies to serve many of the regions and governorates of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This step comes within the health ministry' strategy for the opening of 45 hospitals during the current year and next year. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health for Supply and Engineering Affairs, Dr. Salah Al-Mazroua. He said that 990 million Saudi riyals were allocated in the budget of the current fiscal year 1435/1436 AH (2014/2015) to furnish and equip a number of projects of hospitals and medical towers covering most parts of the Kingdom.
