JEDDAH — MFCC, Emper Perfumes, Stallions, New Youns Stars, Universal Cool & Cool, Brasa De Brazil, Jeddah Tigers and Mazroi won their respective matches in the SCC Morning T20 Tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center (SCC) and organized by WPCA.
MFCC crushed Harsco Baroom by 130 runs. MFCC opting to bat, plundered 215 for 4, thanks to a scintillating century by Shafaqat Khan who remained unbeaten on 116 off 55 balls with 3 sixes and 14 fours. He added 79 runs for the second wicket with Mohsin who made 40. Zia scored 22. Ali took 2-29. Harsco Baroom was restricted to 85 for 7 with only Shehroz making 21. Babar took 3-10.
Emper Perfumes defeated Hanifa Tigers by 26 runs. Emper Perfumes piled up 205 for 9 as Babar hammered 78 in 35 balls, Kashif 27 and Abdur Raheem 37. Omer took 3-43 and Qudrat 2-41.
Hanifa Tigers, in reply, fell short by 26 runs, making 179 for 6. Umair hit 38, Omer 25 and Abbas 21. Usman took 3-27 and Mehboob Shabbir 2-26.
Stallions defeated Zamil Cool Care. Batting first, Stallions tallied 174 for 5 in 18 overs. Danish blasted unbeaten 94 in 50 balls with 4 sixes and 8 fours and Hassan Ali 22. Imtiaz took 3-38.
New Young Stars trounced Royal Brothers by 7 wickets. Royal Brothers posted 132 for 7 through Abdullah (39) and Waqar Abbas (34 not out). Nasir was run out for 23. Rifaqat took 2-6.
New Young Stars made 133 for 3 in 82 balls as Rifaqat Ali hammered an unbeaten 84 in 45 balls and Abdullah remained unbeaten on 24. The two added a match-winning 98 after the team struggled at 35 for 3. Hamid Khan took 2-16.
Universal Cool & Cool won against Rehab Riders by 9 wickets. Rehab Riders opting to bat was restricted to 98 for 9. Kamran scored 32. Owais grabbed 3-9, Imran 2-19 and Tariq 2-25. Universal Cool & Cool got to the winning target (100) for the loss of one wicket in 60 balls. Tariq Siddiqui belted 65 in 36 balls and Bilal hit an unbeaten 29. The two added a match-winning 96 in 58 balls.
Brasa De Brazil had the last laugh against Star-XI by 85 runs. Braza De Brazil racked up 227 for 2. Umair blasted an unbeaten 129 in 60 balls with 3 sixes and 19 fours. He added 205 runs in 92 balls for the first wicket with Faiz who made 72 in 39 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes. Erfan took 2-37. Star-XI responded with 142 for 4. Omer hit an unbeaten 62 in 40 balls. Shahid had 2-23.
Jeddah Tigers defeated Ralco by 2 wickets. Ralco batting first was bundled out for 128 with Naeem making 28 and Asad 23. Hamza claimed 3-20 and Kashif 2-34. Jeddah Tigers achieved the victory (129 for 8) in 102 balls as Abdullah hit an unbeaten 36, Abdul Khaliq 21 and Wasim 19. Jahangir scalped 3-14 and Nadeem 2-19.
Al-Mazroi-XI got the better of Cousin-XI by 38 runs. Batting first, Al-Mazroi-XI piled up 181 for 4. Mohsin made 27, Sufiyan Lahri 42, Faisal Patel 71 with 3 sixes and 6 fours and Farooq 19 not out. Zahid took 2-31. Cousin-XI could manage 143 for 7 in 18 overs thanks to Adil Maqsood making an unbeaten 49 in 38 balls with a six and 4 fours. Aqeel hit 21 in 19 balls with 3 fours and a six, Naveed Qamar 19 in 9 balls with 2 sixes and a four, Naveed Sehar 16 in 10 balls with 2 fours and Khurram 15 with 2 fours. Abdullah took 2-18, while a wicket each went to Sufiyan, Faisal, Tauseef and Ahmed.
