Planas JEDDAH — Ekis-7 and Extreme 1:11 displayed classic battle which elevated it to third and fourth places of the magic four with the former winning the match at 13-7 on the final tallies of 3,575 and 3,547 at the end of the 16th session of the FEDBG Friday Morning Bowling League 16th meet at the Bowling City here. Team captain Ernie Geslani greatly inspired teammates with 663 prompting Malou Gime and Alma Bacero to back him up with 614 and 616. Extreme skipper Dariel Loquias tried blocking with 611 which Romy Bunagan and Jimmy Urbano responded with 636 and 634 only to be disadvantaged at 1,893-1,881. Archie Santos, Andy Yumena and Lani Zamora lent their full support to Extreme combining for 1,666 but Zady Bacero, Rey Beltran and Jimmy Mandingiado likewise scored better for Ekis to have their team win the overall outcome for the Team of the Week honor. Consolation to Extreme was winning the last game and the overall scratch at 3,208-3,164. This match gave Ekis 36 points and 30 for Extreme including those 23-all points in scratch and handicap session rankings. Sharing limelight with Ekis and Extreme were superb individual performers Aileen Miralbuna and Peter Colcol who delighted Rock N Roll and Fine Boys with their respective Bowler of the Week honor- winning score of 639 and 703. Miralbuna defended Rock N Roll (3,388) with her 212, 222 and 205 against league-leader Lance & 3rdy (3,404). Colcol shielded the Rod Lofamia captained Fine Boys against Jun de Dios-skippered Cool Guys with his games of 253, 232 and 218. The winners in this session were D'Lufs Strikers beating Hal Falcons (16-4), Micah's Pride downing BCT Mongoose (16-4), Al-Murjanah walloping undermanned Shawly Bowlers (18-2), Cool Guys defeating Fine Boys (11-9) and Lance & 3rdy disappointing Rock N Roll (12-8).
