Lance & 3rdy and Micah's Pride on top in FEDBG-FMBL

JEDDAH — Lance & 3rdy and Micah's Pride held on to the top two spots after 15 weeks of hostility by Murjanah Bowlers, Ekis-7, Cool Guys, Extreme 1:11 and BCT Mongoose in the FEDBG-Friday Morning Bowling League 16th meet at Bowling City here.
Al-Murjanah Bowlers, captained by Steve Fragata, dared in the 8th week with its Team of the Week-record setting totals of 3,697 at the expense of Fine Boys (3,567). Jojie Manalansan carried most of the load with his Bowler of the Week-winning thrust of 731 (276, 225, 230). Grace Funtillon shared the spotlight by topping the ladies with 644 (212, 218, 214) in leading D'Lufs Strikers.
The Ric Reformado-captained and Evelyn Santoc-managed Lance & 3rdy, however, was again Team of Week at 3,509 beating Ekis (3,386) the following week. Mar Lagan and Ester Santoc were the bowlers of the week with 695 and 591.
Ekis then blanked Cool Guys to be Team of the Week the following session at 3,637-3,533. Zaldy Bacero with 694 was the male BOW, while Micah's manager Ester Santoc pursed her back-to-back lady's accolade.
Cool Guys then displayed back-to-back challenges in the next two weeks beating Lance & 3rdy (3,532-3,323) and Al-Murjahna Bowlers (3,622-3,287). Aisah Silabay also broke through by claiming the ladies' BOW successively at 612 and 656. Male best bowlers these weeks were Rod Lofamia with 648 and Jay Bengco with 676.
Second week into round two saw Micah's Pride ran through the undermanned Al-Murjanah Bowlers (3,688-3,015). Oca Bernabe led the binge with 665 to be the Bowler of the Week on games of 247, 216 and 202. Farida de Guzman topped the ladies with 647.
Extreme 1:11 had its break to edge Cool Guys on a high-scoring match of 3,678-3,671 for 13-7 point settlement. Consolation to Cool Guys was garnered by Jun de Dios claiming BOW with his 679. Aileen Miralbuna of Rock N Roll was named Lady Bowler of the Week for her series of 650 topped by 249.
BCT Mongoose had its chances in the 15th week when it caught D'Lufs Strikers under-staffed and emptied on 3,671-3,036 submission. Ryan Conde with 642 topped Mongoose's board and except for Eloisa Fernandez, who shared 564, TC Emil Payongayong, Jun Pingan, Nezar and Rommel Cagampang all exceeded the 600-mark. Robert de Guzman defended D' Lufs best with 606.
Bacero won Male Bowler of the Week with 709 for Ekis while Nurissa Ramos was the Lady Bowler of the Week with 610 for Al-Murjanah Bowlers.
