JEDDAH — Hyundai, Lothers, Jotun, Choudhry-XI, Limitless and AMI Juffali won their respective matches in the WPCA Afternoon Summer League here recently.
Limitless trounced Marine Services by 7 wickets. Marine Services posted 171 for 8 as Majed scored 62 and Sohail 38. Zafran (3), Amjed (2) and Raza (2) were the wicket-takers. Limitless, in response, reached 173 for 3 in 115 balls through Talha (55), Rashid Kumboh (43) and Ali (39).
Lothers Club got the better of Hala Academy White by 8 wickets. Hala Academy White recorded 132 for 4 with Furqan making 74. Lothers Clubs took 100 balls to get to the target of 133 for 2 as Badushah slammed an unbeaten 58 and Khurram 39.
Hyundai thrashed Thales Group by 9 wickets. Thales Group compiled 138 for 7. Waqas top-scored with 55. Hyundai responded with 139 for 1 in just 73 balls, thanks to Irfan who blasted 91 in 41 balls with 3 sixes and 15 fours. Jotun Paints humbled Asian Plastic Factory by 19 runs. Jotun piled up 193 for 4. Shafique scored 52, while Shafeeq Saddiq hit an unbeaten 71 and Mazhar 35. Tauseef took 2 wickets. APF, in reply, could make only 174 for 6.
Usman scored 58. Shafeeq and Shabbir took 2 wickets each. AMI Juffali downed AOT Youngsters by 7 wickets.
AOT Youngsters scored 171 for 6 as Malik made 55 and Nadeem compiled 57. Pervez Baig hit 35. Moiz scalped 4 for 36. AMI Juffali, in reply, was home with 172 for 3 in 97 balls as Nadeem blasted 59, Shuboor 43 and Imad 39. Choudhry-XI crushed Al-Mabani Club by 59 runs. Choudhry-XI plundered 231 for 3. Zahoor whacked 94 in 57 balls with 2 sixes and 13 fours, while Mustafa scored 66. The two added 156 for the first wicket. In reply, Al-Mabani reached upto 172 for 5. Dildar scored 53, Ali Malik 33 and Tanvir 32. Yahya claimed 2 wickets.
