‘Taste of the World at LuLu' festival opens in Riyadh, Al-Khobar today

JEDDAH — LuLu Hypermarket is hosting a food festival “Taste of the World at Lulu” starting today up to May 6 in all its outlets in Riyadh and Al-Khobar.
The inaugural ceremony will be opened Wednesday night at LuLu Murabba, Riyadh, by Dr. Naser Ibrahim Al-Tweam, Chairman of Consumer Protection Association, Saudi Arabia.
In Al-Khobar, Eng. Abdul Razak Al-Omer, director of Port and Customs, will lead the ceremony which will start at 6 p.m.
The 12-day promotion will offer a lot of special attractions and colorful activities. Lulu Riyadh will have a giant football ground cake while Lulu Alkhobar will offer the “Cakes of Seven Wonders in the World.”
There will be rides and games for the entire family and the Shifa Clinic in Alkhobar will host a free medical camp on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The LuLu food festival is split into different “mouth-watering portions” this year. From April 23 to 26th, customers can enjoy different varieties of lip-licking Biriyani cuisine, steaks and grilled foods to kababs, pastas and snacks. There will also be an attractive discount on various rice brands.
Throughout the festivities, there will be an Apple Day, Orange Day and Grapes Day during which customers can enjoy 25 percent discount on purchase of these fruits.
On April 26-28, there will be a Cheese and Olive Fest. During these days there will be a huge display of wide ranges of exotic cheese and different kinds of olives.
For the first time in Saudi Arabia, LuLu is offering attractive discounts on organic products for the health-conscious customers.
From April 30 to May 3, there will be a Steaks & Chops Fest wherein LuLu will exhibit a wide range of local and imported meat and meat-related food products. From May 1 to 3, its Alkhobar outlet will hold the Biriyani Fest, where different types of Biriyani will be sold at affordable prices.
There wil be Bake Fest on May 4 to 6. People can taste many gastronomic delights ranging from Arabic and Indian cuisines as well as continental and oriental delicacies, cooked and supplied by local chefs and presented as street food.
Sweets prepared in the bakery section will be among its special attractions but the most delicious weekend won't stop there.

LuLu outlets in Batha, Riyadh and in Al-Khobar will conduct a lot of fun and games for kids like coloring and pencil drawing.
Customers can approach the customer service department for registering their names to participate in these activities.
LuLu outlet in Murabba will hold a table decoration competition for ladies and cookery contest on vegetarian, non vegetarian and desert categories on May 1.
On May 2, LuLu Murabba will organize a junior chef competition for children. Winners will be awarded with fabulous prizes.
During its festival weeks, LuLu's roastery, garments, electronics, home appliances, and household departments will offer special discounts and deals.
The Fresh Food Department will offer affordable prices on various products during the promotional period.
The Hot Food section will showcase a wide range of ready-to-eat pizzas, pastas and fries, snacks and sandwiches, Arabic dishes and kababs.
