Peeran teams, Jamco post wins

JEDDAH — The Peeran teams, Warriors and Peeran-XI, recorded exciting narrow wins, while Jamco beat Ktaykit in the 4th week matches of the CKB T20 Afternoon League sponsored by MoneyGram Money Transfer under the umbrella of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by JCA.
Peeran Warriors edged out Munch Bakery by 3 wickets, Peeran-XI scraped past ICAD by 4 runs and Jamco defeated Ktaykit by 21 runs.
In the first match of the week, the Peeran Warriors, batting first, posted, 145-5 against the much-experienced Munch Bakery cricketers. Inform opening batsman Zainul Salikeen failed this time as he fell cheaply for 15 off 18 balls (4x1). His opening partner and stylish hard-hitting Tariq Jamal started well but was out for 28 (19 balls, 5x4) and the middle order batsman Rana Shahzad played sensibly to make 50 (29 balls, 4x3, 6x2). The other contributor was veteran Saleem Siddiqui (20 not out off 10 with two fours and a six. Faisal took 2-27, Ali 2-21 and Abdullah 1-20.
In reply Peeran Warriors reached 146-7 in 17.4 overs. Hussain 24 (13 balls), Waqas 17 (11 balls, 4x1), Sarwar 32 (17 balls, 4x2), Ilyas 34 n.o. (17 balls, 4x2, 6x1) were the main scorers. Ibaad claimed 2-30, Abdul Rauf 2-17 and Rana Shahzad 2-20.
In the second match, the Peeran-X1 defeated ICAD by 4 runs. Peeran-X1 posted 223-6 wickets. Tariq smacked 85 (40 balls, (6x8, 4x5), Kashif 42 (27 balls, 4x8), Nazim 49 (31 balls, 4x3, 6x1), Urooj 10 and Asif 13.n.o. Hanif took 3 for 41, Mohsin 1 for 31 and Shakeel 1 for 61.
In reply, the last season's champion team ICAD narrowly lost the match by 4 runs. It made 219-6 through Shakeel 62 (32, 4x6, 6x3), Faraz 68 (36 balls, 4x6, 6x3), Hassan 32 (17 balls), Mohsin 12 and Imran 11. Irfan grabbed 2 for 21, Faisal 1 for 11 and Nazim 1 for 34.
In the last match, Jamco beats Ktaykit by 21 runs. Jamco made 191-9. Faisal Shahzad hit 34 (22 balls, 4x4), Aqeel 38 (30 balls, (4x5), Yousuf 50 (21 balls (6x3, 4x2) and Imran 18 (6x1, 4x1). Samman got 3 for 43, Naseem 2 for 38 and Sufian 2 for 47.
In reply, Ktaykit could muster only 170-9. Sarfaraz made 32 (22 balls, 4x4), Salim 18 (21, 4x2), Naseem 32 (17 balls, (6x2, 4x1), Mudassir 14 (6x1), Danish 12 (6x1). Karam claimed 3 for 33, Mubashir 3 for 30, while Imran, Yousuf and Imran senior got one each.
