Aijaz Ahmed Khan JEDDAH — In the 3rd week of the JCA Afternoon CKB T20 League sponsored by MoneyGram under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association, Jamco, ICAD and Ktaykit recorded wins over their respective opponents here recently. Jamco beat Munch Bakery by 42 runs. Jamco posted 189 for the loss of 9 wickets. Umar Shareef (26), Faisal Shehzad (25), Karam Shehzad (28), Yusuf (20) and Adnan (20 not out) were among the runs. Saleem took 3-35 and Shakeel 2-25. Munch Bakery, however, was bundled out for 147, mainly due to some tight bowling from Adnan who ripped through the Jamco lineup with figures of 4-27 with good support from Mubashir (3-23) and Jahangir (2-49). Tariq Jamal was the only batsman to offer resistance as he scored a quick-fire 55 off 39 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. ICAD beat Old Students by 3 wickets. ICAD managed to restrict Old Students to 148-9. Abdul Qadir (43) and Shahid (25) were the main contributors. Mohsin (2-22), Shakeel (2-43), Hassan (2-45) and Nadir (2-5) shared the wickets amongst them. In reply, ICAD also struggled initially. However, Mohsin (21), Shakeel (33) and Hassan (31) tackled the sharp bowling of Amanullah (2-24) and Abdulrahman (2-35) to ensure their team reached the target of 153 for the loss of 7 wickets. Ktaykit beat Peeran Warriors by 54 runs. Ktaykit reached an impressive tally of 188-9 with Danish (39), Sufian (37) and Nasim (23) playing responsible knocks. Shahroz ran through the batting lineup taking 5-28 and Abdullah had 2-27. In reply, Peeran Warriors were bundled out for 134 to hand Ktaykit a big win thanks to fine bowling by Shariq (3-34) and Farhat (2-23), while Hussain (38) was the lone scorer as the other batsmen failed.
