Munch Bakery and Jamco win

JEDDAH – Jamco beat Peeran Warriors, Universal defeated Young Stars while Munch Bakery beat Peeran-XI in the ACE Travel Cup Afternoon League matches here recently.
The event is sponsored by ACE Travel & Tours and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association.
In the first match Jamco beat Peeran Warriors by 15 runs. Jamco put on 250 for the loss of five wickets. Khurram scored (88) and Nazim (101 - 8x6 and 7x4) scored 153 together. Tariq contributed 16. Ameen had figures of 3-47, Hussain 2-46. Peeran Warriors did not get the start it expected. Umar was out after scoring 32. Ihsan hit 23 and Mohsin 22. The Farhan-Ameen partnership brought Peeran Warriors back in the game.
Farhan scored 28 and Ameen 98 off 37 balls. Peeran Warriors, however, could reach only 235. Mubashir claimed 3-32, while Karam and Faisal bagged a wicket each for 66 and 60, respectively.
The second match saw Universal defeat Young Stars by 44 runs. Universal made 189 for the loss of four wickets.
For Universal, Mushtaq contributed 94 (10x4 and 4x6). Shoaib added 24, Inayat remained unbeaten on 50 (3x4 and 3x6). Nadeem claimed 2-45. There were two run outs. In reply, Young Stars lost Jamil, Zakir and Shakeel cheaply. Arsalan remained unbeaten on 59 (7x4 and 3x6), Shabbier added 31 and Nadeem 16. Young Stars could manage only 145-9. Mushtaq claimed 2-8, while Ziad, Tariq and Zaheer claimed one wicket each for 32, 25 and 20, respectively.
In the third encounter, Munch Bakery beat Peeran-XI by six wickets. Peeran-XI, batting first, was all out for 164. Tayyab added 13, Kamran 48 off 16 balls, while Shakeel and Hussain added 14 and 20, respectively. Umar gave away 18 runs for three wickets, Saleem claimed 2-18, while Abdul Raoof, Shahid and Mustafa bagged one wicket each for 19, 13 and 17, respectively. Mustafa then played a hurricane innings of 81 for Munch Bakery.
It was studded with nine sixes. Zain Ul Huda added 35. Munch Bakery was home for the loss of four wickets. Zaheer claimed 2-35.
