Young Athletes will take on Peeran XI in the final after defeating their rivals Old Students and Munch Bakery respectively in the JCA Division 1 Ace Travels Cup. In the first semi final, Young Athlete beat Old Students by 163 runs. Young Athlete piled up a mammoth 235-5 in 20 overs. Usman stole the limelight with a hurricane knock of 82 runs with solid support from Wahab 48, Waleed (32), Asif (18) and Wajid (19). Junaid and Javed picked up 2 wickets each for 40 and 35 runs respectively. In reply, Old Students were skittled out for a paltry 72 as their batsmen had no answer to the fiery bowling of Asif (4-25), Waleed (2-15) and Mahtab (2-15). In the second semifinal, Peeran XI overcame stiff resistance from Munch Bakery by beating it by 22 runs. Peeran XI put up 212 with Nadeem scoring a blazing 79, Sudhir 45 and Adnan 52 not out. Saleem, Ebad, Rana, Shahzad and Shahid got one wicket each. Munch Bakery replied strongly with Ebad playing an elegant 70 and Zain Ul Huda making a quic fire 53. They were well supported by Saleem (19) and Shahid (15). Nadeem shone with the ball also taking 2-40 and Hanif chipped in with 2-19 to bundle out Munch Bakery for 190.
