Old war horses Young Athletes beat a young Saudi Bitucorp-XI by 8 wickets and in-form Peeran-XI beat PISJ Old Students-XI by a comfortable margin of 43 runs in the fifth week matches of the JCA Division-I League, which is sponsored by ACE Travels & Tours and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA). Saudi Bitucorp-XI put up a moderate total of 159 runs with Afsar Khan being the highest run-getter with 50 not out. Shabbir made a useful 44 while Ahmad Shah contributed 16. Wajid took 3-26. Waleed got 1-31 and Nasir Shah 1-35. In reply, Young Athletes reached 161-2 in 12 overs. Usman hit a match-winning 59 not out. Basharath made a quickfire 26. But the main highlight of the match was Asif's 31. Shabbir had 2-33. Peeran XI, batting first, made 165-6 through Hanif 44, Faizan 47 n.o., Sudhir 20, Nadeem 23.
