All set for RCA-SFM semifinals

RIYADH — Semifinals were played in the Huraymala and Riyadh zones of the Sikander Farooqui Memorial (SFM) Cricket Tournament being organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) here recently.
In Huraymala Zone, Pakistan Falcons outplayed Hyderabadi Warriors by 48 runs. Pakistan Falcons, batting first, managed 155 in 20 overs. Hamza held the innings together with 55. Fazal added 39 and Waqar 22. Hassan and Mohammed grabbed 2 wickets each. Warriors, in reply, were bundled out for a paltry 107. Hassan scored 24. Hamza also bowled well and took 4 wickets. Matiullah and Mohammed claimed 3 and 2 wickets, respectively. Hamza Abbasi was declared the Man-of-the-Match.
KFSH Green got the better of Riyadh Fighters in the second semifinal by 32 runs. Batting first, KFSH Green scored 173. Noor hit 53, Shafeeq 27, Rafaqat 25 and Suhail 25. Riyadh Fighters, in reply, managed 141. Imran added 48 and Nusrat 33. Suhail Bakhshi picked 5 wickets. Suhail Bakhshi was declared the Man-of-the-Match.
In Riyadh Zone, Kohsar Cricket Club (KCC) beat Nouman Gymkhana in a thriller, which went to the Super Over. Batting first, KCC scored 185. It lost some wickets early, but Manan Abbasi played an unbeaten knock of 66. Qasim Abbasi added 21. Mudassir and Amjad took 2 wickets each.
Nouman Gymkhana, in reply, also scored 185 with contributions from Amjad (48), Mudassir (48), Shahzad (39) and Afzal (21). Sohail took 2 wickets.
In the Super Over, bowled by Qasim Abbasi, Nouman Gymkhana scored 9. KCC achieved the target with Manan hitting a huge six on the 4th ball to take his team to the final. Manan Abbasi was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.
In the other semifinal, Lahore Badshah Green defeated Imran-XI by 36 runs. Lahore Badshah Green took the strike first and scored 210. Afzal added 58, Atif 51 and Jahangir 21. Shafiq took 2 wickets.
Imran-XI was restricted to 174 thanks to a great spell of bowling by Zahideen who took 5 wickets. Awais and Jafar claimed 2 each. Zahideen was declared the Man-of-the-Match.
