RIYADH — The Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR), in collaboration with the Filipino Bowlers Group of Riyadh (FBGR), is once again hosting the annual Haj Friendship Games on Oct. 17 and 18 at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC) here. In all, 32 teams have already confirmed their participation, including 4 teams from the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah. This year's event is being sponsored by Al-Marai, Red Bull Saudi Arabia, House of Donuts, Al-Rabie Saudi Foods Company, McDonalds, Riyadh Pro-Shop, EG Collections, including individual donors Rey Bautista, Ric Ventura, Arthur Yukong, Art Palustre, Fathi Abdulaziz and Irene Pua. A jam-packed bowling center is expected as bowlers with their families, supporters and friends will be in attendance to watch the excitement, cheer and celebrate. Eight event categories will be up for grabs namely: Team Competition, Doubles Event, Singles for Men, Singles for Ladies, All Events for Men, All Events for Ladies, Masters Event for Men and Masters Event for Ladies. Cash prizes, gift items, trophies and medals await the winners. Ernee Noto, Overall Event Chairman, and Rey Bautista, Event Chairman would like to thank all the sponsors and the participating teams for their support and generosity. Everyone is invited to witness the two-day bowling fiesta. Awarding and closing ceremonies will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 18. Snacks and drinks will be served during the tournament.
