RIYADH — The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority revealed the seizure of 1,302 smuggling cases at land, sea, and air customs ports across the Kingdom within one week. The seized items include 66 types of narcotics, in addition to 144 prohibited substances. Customs outlets also foiled the attempts to smuggle 1,219 tobacco and tobacco derivatives, 45 types of cash, and three types of weapons and related supplies. The authority reiterated that it would continue its efforts to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports so as to ensure the security and protection of society, in cooperation and continuous coordination with all its partners from relevant authorities. The authority also called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy by contacting it on the number designated for security reports.
