Al-Saudi, Dopco SB win matches

JEDDAH — Masco downed Hala Academy Blue, Zultrack defeated Natcom, My Care Hala Green humbled GGI, Dopco Safa Al-Bawadi won against Jotun Paints as Al-Saudi got the better of Elaf Advance in the Summer Afternoon tournament sponsorsed by Hyundai Naghi Company and organized by WPCA.
Al-Saudi-XI beat Elaf Advance by four wickets. Elaf Advance batting against Al-Saudi-XI posted 140-6. Ehtesham remained unbeaten on 36, while Hasnain hit 35 and Ali 34 after Elaf was struggling at 7-2. Rehmat took 2-23. Al-Saudi, in response, lost wickets at regular intervals, but managed to get to the winning post of 142 for the loss of six wickets through Nazeer Farooqui (31) and identical 26 by Imran and Mazhar. Hasnain scalped 2-32.
The second match saw Dopco Safa Al-Bawadi beat Jotun Paints by three wickets. Jotun Paints put on 166-5 through Ahmed (56) and Shafeeq (45) as they added 95 runs for the first wicket. Mazhar was the only other batsman to add 25. Asif took 2-32. Dopco was home with 168-7 with two balls to spare as Qasim compiled 50, while Tariq hit 38 and Jamshaid 22. Hassan took 3-36, Imran 2-34 and Shafeeq 2-28.
My Care Hala Green, batting first, saw Hassan Malik hammer 64 off 30 balls, while Qazzafi hit 45 and Azhar contributed 31. MCH Green at one stage was 162-3, but lost five wickets for 31 runs as Tariq took 2-17, Hussain 2-38 and Arsalan 2-42.
GGI lost its skipper early, but Arsalan stood firm to make 60 as he added 78 runs for the second wicket with Tarique (50). GGI could manage only 154-6 to lose the match by 39 runs as Kashif grabbed 2-8.
In another game, Natcom started well with openers Waqas (40) and Aamir Shahzad (23) taking the total to 68, but the batsmen to follow could not stand against the bowling of Usman Gulab who claimed 2-22, Subayyil 2-25 and Bilal Iqbal 2-30 to restrict the computer men to 138 all out. Zultrack reached the target of 141 for the loss of two wickets. Usman Gulab hammered eight fours to compile 50 in 27 balls, while Bilal Iqbal remained unbeaten on 46 and Omer Mukhtar 20.
The last match saw Masco bat first and pile up 158-9 through Waqas (55), Mustafa (43) and Junaid (21). Haider took 3-8 in one over, Amjad took 2-23 and Abdulaleem 2-36. Hala Academy Blue, in reply, was bowled out for 127 to lose the match by 31 runs. Amjad hit 32 and Usman 20 against some accurate bowling by Fahad (3-23), Bilal (3-30) and Haroon (2-25).
