CH XI, M. Eagles, Shawahid triumph in Ace Travel Cup

JEDDAH — CH XI, Makkah Eagles, Shawahid, Saudi Oil and Pak Zalmi triumphed over their respective opponents which saw excellent individual performances by Shehzad (128) of Saudi Oil, Usman Butt (65) of Shawahid, Amjad (67) and Zaid (79) of CH XI during the 7th and 8th week matches of Ace Travel Saudi Cup sponsored by Ace Travel and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Shahwahid beat ARM United by 57 runs, thanks to good knocks by Syed Shah (65), Usman (65) and Usman (55), despite late onslaught by Hafeez (50 not out) and Muneeb (36).
Tight bowling in tandem by Nasir Bajwa (3 for 30) and Zulfiqar (3 for 30) and fine batting by Zaid (79) and Amjad (67) gave CH XI a 46-run win over Kashmir Stags despite good knock from Naeem (55) and fine bowling by Danish (4 for 48).
Jannan's 51 and Imran's all-round stint (57 and 2 for 11) enabled Makkah Eagles beat Chinar by 48 runs, despite a hostile bowling from Amir (4 for 31).
Excellent bowling by Abid (3 for 29), Saeed (2 for 30) and Asad (2 for 15) and sensible batting by Amir (50) and Zia (49 not out) gave Pak Zalmi a 4-wicket win against Al-Burj, despite in-form Atta Muskan's 50. Super knock of 128 by Shehzad (56 balls 4x20, 6x4) and Mohsin's 63 gave Saudi Oil a 49-run win over Islamabad United.

Shawahid beat ARM United by 57 runs. Shawahid 241 for 4 (Syed Shah 65, Usman Butt 65, Usman Khan 55, Zeeshan 3 for 46). ARM United 184 for 7 (Hafeez 50 not out, Muneeb 36, Shafiq 2 for 9, Bilal 2 for 12).
CH XI beat Kashmir Stags by 46 runs. CH XI 234 for 7 (Zaid 79, Amjad 67, Danish 4 for 48). Kashmir Stags 188 for 7 (Naeem 55, Bilal 30 Nasir 3 for 30, Zulfiqar 3 for 30).
Makkah Eagles beat Chinar Cricket Club by 48 runs. Makkah Eagles 191 for 9 (Jannan 51, Imran 57, Amir 4 for 31, Adil 2 for 33). Chinar CC 143 all out (Imran 34, Adnan 28, Imran 2 for 11, Ajaz 2 for 17).
8th week matches:
Pak Zalmi beat Al-Burj by 4 wickets. Al-Burj 194 (Atta Muskan 50, Usman 36, Abid 3 for 29, Asad 2 for 15). Pak Zalmi 196 for 6 (Amir 50, Zia 49).
Saudi Oil beat Islamabad United by 49 runs. Saudi Oil 242 for 2 (Shehzad 128, Mohsin 63, Farhan 2 for 38). Islamabad United 193 for 7 (Bilal 22, Asim 25).
