JEDDAH — Hyderabad Sharks inflicted a 9-wicket defeat on Jeddah Zalmi to remain unbeaten at the top, while Pepsi Deccan Knight and Malik XI continued their onward march with 7 and 6 wickets wins over Saudi German Hospital and Ace Travel, respectively, coupled with excellent performances by Hassam (5 for 18) of Hyderabad Sharks, Waqas (102) of Pepsi Deccan Knight and Bilal (43 and 2 for 44) of Malik XI in the 8th week matches of Bonny Super League T20, sponsored by Bonny and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA). Hassam (5 for 18) and Hamza (3 for 13) bowled with accuracy to bundle out Jeddah Zalmi for a paltry 115, which Hyderabad Sharks knocked off for the loss of a solitary wicket, thanks to unbeaten knocks by Mansoor (59) and Yasir (32). Waqas scored a scintillating century (102 off 48 balls 4x11, 6x7) and Kashif 72 not out (39 balls, 4x4, 6x4) giving Pepsi Deccan Knight a thrilling 7-wicket win over Saudi German Hospital, chasing a stiff target of 201. Malik XI made light work of chasing Ace Travel target of 189 and winning comfortably by 6 wickets, thanks mainly to Bilal who scored 43 and took 2 for 44.
