JEDDAH — The semifinal lineup is set in the
TCF FSN Champions Trophy 2019 at the BMT floodlit ground in Bani Malek here. It will be between former champion Young Star versus Kayani Cricket Club in the first semifinal and dark horses Royal Fighter against Tuskers in the second.
The tournament, organized by TCF under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC), is mainly sponsored by FSN. The co-sponsors are Ascensia, Kool Dezign, Tamer Bupa Abeer Umrah, Masum Logistics and Prime Express.
Young Star, Royal Fighter, Kayani and Tuskers continued their dominance by winning their third matches and qualified for the seminals. Friday Stallions and Timex KKR registered their first wins and redeemed some lost pride.
Friday Stallions beat Myown KPL XI by 13 runs. After winning the toss electing to bat first, Friday stallions scored 129-5 in 10 overs. Captain Imran Ahmed Khan scored 48 not out in 19 balls including 5 sixes in the last over of the innings. Farhaj scored 30 from 17 balls. Aslam, Farseen, Hisham Taha and Sajjad claimed one wicket each. In reply, Mywon KPL fought till the last ball but fell short of 13 runs. Abdul Khaliq (38 off 18) and Aslam (32 off 14) remained not out. Syed got two wickets for Friday Stallions. Imran Ahmed Khan was adjudged the Man of the Match.

Kayani Cricket Club won its third match by beating Hamenfaiz by 8 wickets with 4.1 overs to spare. Opting to bat first, Hamenfaiz scored 72-7. Abdul Raheem hit 20 and Saleel contributed 14. Asif, Israr and Bilal took two wickets each for Kayani. While chasing, Zeeshan remained not out on 39 (16) and Israr scored 17 from 6 balls. Shakkir and Sreeni took one wicket each. Israr was named Man of the Match.
Scores: Hamenfaiz 72-7 (Raheem 19 (19), Saleem 14 (20), Asif 2-6, Israr 2-14, Bilal 2-4). Kayani 75-2 in 5.5 overs (Zeeshan 39 not out, Israr 17 not out, Sreeni 1-3, Shakkir 1-17).
Tournament favorite and former champion Young Star beat Nesma Airlines Cricket Club by 61 runs and topped Group A&B.
