Big wins for Saudi Oil and Makkah Eagles

JEDDAH — Saudi Oil and Makkah Eagles recorded big wins, Butt Sports, Al-Burj, Royal Jurana and Pak Zalmi prevailed over their respective opponents and fine all-round performances by Ameeq Mansha of Saudi Oil and Adnan of KAIA were the highlights of 5th week matches of Kanoo Premier League, sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Excellent all-round show by Ameeq Mansha (unbeaten 102 and 4-16) and Aftab (52 and 2-16) and Zia's solid 67 gave Saudi Oil a huge win by 175 runs over Jeddah Gladiators. Royal Jurana scored a 27-run win despite Adnan's 37 and excellent spell of 5-34 (including a hat trick) ended up on the losing side for KAIA. Imran (3-19) and Makki (3-18) bowled fiery spells to bundle out Islamabad United for a paltry 83 and give Makkah Eagles a massive 144-run win. Fine spell by Samar (3-30) and Umer (3-20) and a polished unbeaten 61 by prolific Hasnath gave Butt Sports a solid 7-wicket win over Shawahid Technology. Hostile bowling by Saad, Fida and Asad and Waqas's steady knock of 65 gave Pak Zalmi a 5-wicket win over ARM United. Zahid's all-round show (53 runs and 2-24) gave Al-Burj a narrow 1-wicket win over CH XI in a low-scoring nail-biting thriller.

Saudi Oil beat Jeddah Gladiators by 175 runs. Saudi Oil 280 for 4 (Ameeq 102 not out, Zia 67, Aftab 52, Ali 2 for 35). Jeddah Gladiators 105 (Ammeq 4 for 16, Aftab 2 for 16, Zubair 2 for 6).
Royal Jurana beat KAIA by 27 runs. Royal Jurana 195 for 7 (Ijaz 43, Asad 36 Adnan 5 for 34). KAIA 168 (Nabeel 40, Adnan 37, Ali 31, Maqsood 2 for 37, Muzammil 2 for 25).
Makkah Eagles beat Islamabad United by 144 runs. Makkah Eagles 227 for 6 (Janan 63, Junaid 39, Irfan 2 for 52). Islamabad United 83 (Bilal 24, Imran 3 for 19, Makki 3 for 18).
Pak Zalmi beat ARM United by 5 wickets. ARM United 163 for 7 (Najam 38, Shakir 37, Saad 2 for 22, Fida 2 for 34, Asad 2 for 23). Pak Zalmi 164 for 5 in 17.3 overs (Waqas 65, Siraj 23, Zeeshan 3 for 35).
Butt Sports beat Shawahid Technology by 7 wickets. Shawahid Technolgy 154 for 8 (Shad Khan 48, Samad 24, Samar 3 for 30, Umer 3 for 20, Hafiz 2 for 7). Butt Sports 156 for 3 in 14.2 overs (Hasnath 61 not out, Samar 23).
Al-Burj beat CH XI by 1 wicket. CH XI 151 all out (Zahid 53, Raj 2 for 19). Al-Burj 152 for 9 in 18.3 overs (Kamran 50, Zahid 2 for 24, Zafar 2 for 34).
