JEDDAH — ACE Travel beat a strong ICC Irfan Basha team by 9 wickets, Kanoo defeated Natco by 43 runs, Zinda Tilismat Hyderabad surprised the fancied Tamer by 6 wickets and Jawar Al-Jazira routed Kanoo Travels by 5 wickets in the Ace Travel Premier League, which is sponsored by Ace Travels & Tour and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) here.
ICC Irfan Basha won the toss against Ace Travel and elected to bat. ICC Irfan Basha was shot out for a very low score of 116. Main contributors were Irfan 24 (2x4 and 1x6), Nabeel 16 and Moiz 16. Aleem claimed 3-32, Ameen 3-20 and Wajid 2-17. Saeed and Mohammad got one wicket apiece.
Ace Travel hit the required runs in only 7 overs, losing one wicket in the process. Wajid got out for 12, Wahaj made 47 off only 14 balls (6x4 and 3x6) and Ayaz 45 off 21 deliveries (7x4 and 2x6). Irfan claimed 1-45.
Kanoo defeated Natco by 43 runs. Kanoo piled up 254-5 as Tabrez scored 103 off 52 deliveries (11x4 and 4x6). Sami added 54 off 31 balls (4x6 and 3X4). Sami and Tabriz added 112 runs for the second wicket. Najam scored 43 off only 13 balls with 4 sixes and 3 fours and Arshad hit 26 with the help of 3 sixes. Jamshed, Zaheer, Rana Shahzad and Abdul Rauf took one wicket each for 43, 35, 38 and 30 runs, respectively. In reply Natco managed 211 through Jamshed 20, Abdul Rauf 45, Humayun 25, Rana Shahzad 15, Hasnain 25 and Saeed 40. Najam grabbed 4-30, while Arshad and Tabriz got 2 wickets each for 35 and 32 runs, respectively.
Zinda Tilismat surprised Tamar by 6 wickets. Tamar put up 226-7. Tamar Khalid Butt scored 25 (4x4), Anwar Khan 29, Syed Mohammad Afroz a quick-fire 91 off 37 balls (9x4 and 6x6). Abdul Sattar added 21. Abdulla, Noor, Sarfaraz Shadab and Saeed claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Javed (49 — 8x4 and 2x6) and Ayazuddin Irfan (126 n.o.) provided a sound start as Irfan hit 8 fours and 10 sixes. Zinda Tilismat scored the required runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Waseem Shaukat, Khalid Butt and Anwar Khan claimed one wicket each.
Jawar Al-Jazirah had the better of Kanoo Travel. Kanoo Travel set a target of 188. Its openers Abdul Wasay and Haroon Abdullah laid a solid foundation by scoring 53 and 37 runs, respectively. Adnan hit 68 off 37 balls (5x4 and 3x6) and Pervez Khan 28 (3x4). Shaan Manzoor claimed 3-33 and Saeed 2-29.
In reply, Jawar Al-Jazirah reached the target for the loss of 5 wickets. Shaan Manzoor was the hero of the match with a sterling innings of 119 with 12 boundaries and 6 sixes. Asim hit 25. Jawar Al-Jawar was home with one over to spare and 5 wickets in hand. Shahid, Ishaq, Amer and Ibrahim Bin Mehfooz got one wicket each.
