JPCC, Kanoo Travel and Jawar Al-Jazira win convincingly in JCA Premier Cup

JEDDAH: JPCC, Kanoo Travel and Jawar Al-Jazira scored solid wins in the 10th week matches of Jeddah Cricket Association Premier Division, which is sponsored by the Kanoo Group of Companies.
The first match saw JPCC beat Zinda Tilismat of Hyderabad India by six wickets. Batting first Zinda Tilismat scored 197-4 in 18 overs. JPCC in reply reached the target 198-4 in 16.2 overs.
Nazeer Ahmed played an unbeaten knock of 88 runs. Others who contributed runs included Irfan (31), Javed Ahmed (20), Zaman (17) and Asghar (15). Kaleem bagged 3-31 and Ahsan 1-41.
Osman scored 84 for a winning cause. Pervez added 36, Kaleem 26 and Jawad 22 not out. Nazeer Ahmed, Mohammad Sadathullah, Javed Ahmed and Irfan claimed a wicket each for Zinda Tilismat.
Kanoo Travel beat its sister team Kanoo by three wickets. Kanoo batting first scored 170-7 in 18 overs and Kanoo Travel reached the target 171-7 in 16.4 overs.
Junaid made 50, Najam 36, Kashif 23 and Kamran remained not out for 15 for Kanoo. Zahid Khan and skipper Akbar Ali claimed two wickets each while Haroon Abdullah and Sohail took a wicket each for Kanoo Travel.
The travel men in reply reached the target easily.
Syed Mohammad Afroz made 58, Haroon Abdullah Bin Mehfooz remained not out on 19, Mohammad Riyaz Chukkan scored 19, while Sohail and Mazhar scored 18 runs each. Majid Sheikh claimed 4-31, while Najamuddin, Sadiq and Kashif took a wicket each for Kanoo.
Jawar Al-Jazira finally tasted victory in the tournament beating Natco International by six wickets.
Natco taking the strike first scored 153-7 in 18 overs and Jawar Al-Jazira crossed the target for the loss of four wickets in 14 overs.
Skipper Humayun remained unbeaten on 43, Atta Ur Rehman added 20, while Osman and Pervez Khan scored 19 each for Natco. Adnan and Amer took two wicket each while Saeed, Tariq and Omar bagged one wicket each.
Jawar Al-Jazira in reply scored 154-4. Amer Shehzad scored 52 runs, Adnan 30, Sajid 21 and Zulfi 20. Osman, Humayun, Jehangir and Faris Aijaz Ahmed Khan claimed one wicket each for Natco.
