Qulani breaks Zahid's record in Kanoo Cup

XI took 7-16, including a hat trick, against Jawar Al-Jazira and broke the record of Kanoo Travel's Zahid Khan, who had claimed 7-21, also a hat trick, against ACE Travel in a third week match of JCA Premier Division for Kanoo Cup.
In other highlights, Kaleem of JPCC hit 131 against ACE Travels, Athar Abdul Quddus of Hijaz-XI struck exact 100 against Jawar Al-Jazira.
Hijaz-XI, batting first, scored 210-5 in the allotted 18 overs against Jawar Al-Jazira. Openers Talha Qulani 17 and Wajid Samdani 43 gave a rousing start. No. 3 batsman Sadat went cheaply for just 2 but a consistent Athar Abdul Quddus accelerated the score. He made 100 runs in 48 balls with 13 boundaries and 4 sixes. Ayaz made 23. Shaan Manzoor, Qaisar, Kamran and Omer claimed one wicket each for Jawar Al-Jazira.
In reply, Jawar Al-Jazira slumped to 106 all out as skipper Talha Qulani grabbed 7-16 with a hat trick. Naveed took two wickets while Saeed Amoudi got one.
ACE Travels, batting first, made 192-4 against JPCC. Opener Imran made an unbeaten 82, Shoaib scored 50, Rayeesuddin 25 and Irfan 12. Asif took two wickets while Rabbani and Mujahid claimed one each.
In reply, Jeddah Projects Cricket Club (JPCC) reached 193-1 in 16 overs. Kaleem made a match-winning 131 in 58 balls.
He remained unbeaten after hitting 11 boundaries and 8 sixes. Ahsan scored 36 and Abid Parvez 12. Rayeesuddin took one wicket for ACE Travels.
Zinda Tilismat of Hyderabad India, batting first, slumped to 132 all out against Sultan Al-Abideen-XI. Javed Ahmed 37, Irfan 31 and Sayeed Khan 19 were the main batsmen. Left-arm spinner Faraz claimed 4-23 and Fakhar 4-22. In reply, Sultan Al-Abideen reached 134-2 in 13 overs. Hazrath Ali made 56, Zameer 27 and Rahil 25 not out.
