Asif, Imran sparkle in RCA tourney

round performance by Asif Tawqeer for Lahore Badshah and Imran Younes' aggressive century for Riyadh Fighters were the highlights in the ongoing RCA's Shehriyar Mirza Memorial Tourney in Riyadh recently.
In the Super League, Lahore Badshah, aided by the all-round performance of Asif Tawqeer (107 runs with 12x4s and 6x6s and 4-52), Adeel's unbeaten knock of 69, Malik Fahad's 56 and Akram's 41 scored a three-wicket win over Fuchs.
Earlier Fuchs, opting to bat first, had scored 350 runs in its quota of overs. Asif Tawqeer (4-72), Malik Fahad (3-70) and Atif (2-64) were among the wickets for Lahore Badshah.
In a Premier League-1 match Imran Younes' 101 could not prevent Riyadh Fighters from losing the match to Al-Hamra by 13 runs. Batting first, Al-Hamra scored 202 in its quota of overs. Mubashir Malik (53), Zahid Mir (61) and Majid Khan (38) were its main scorers. Nusrat took 2-28.
Riyadh Fighters, in reply, was bundled out for 189. Imran Younes scored a century. He was well supported by Imran Butt (44).
In another low-scoring match Knight Riders scored a seven-wicket victory over KFSH Green. Electing to bat first KFSH Green was shot out for a paltry 64 with Mubashir taking 3-15, while Aman, Abdul Rahman and Ahamedullah bagging two wickets each for 10, 15 and 24 runs, respectively. Knight Riders romped home in six overs for the loss of three wickets. Hassan (29) and Karim (21) steadied Knight Rider's innings.
Another match in Premier League-1 saw CKK beat Attieh Steel by four wickets. Batting first, Attieh Steel scored 196-6. Ramzan Butt top scored with 86. Nasir added 36 and Amir 30.
In a Premier League-2 match Riyadh Warriors scored an easy five-wicket win over Kashmir-XI. Batting first Kashmir was bundled out for 138. Abdul Rahim (3-25) and Majid (2-19) were among the wickets for Riyadh Warriors. In reply, Abdul Azeez's (62), Abdul Gaffoor (21) and Sameer (23) runs guided Riyadh Warriors to 142-3 in 15 overs.
In another match Green Bangla scored a 69-run win over Imran-XI. Electing to bat first, Green Bangla scored 195-3. Kakon Khan (60) top scored for Green Bangla and was well supported by Rafiq-Ul-Islam (32) Sohail Chaudhry (27) and Jakir Hossain (47). In reply, Shahjahan (4-21) and Al Ameen (3-25) restricted Imran to 126-8.
In a Thursday League match Al-Jomaih Shell scored an exciting one-run win over Pak Sonic. Batting first, Pak Sonic scored 205. Al-Jomaih Shell, in reply, aided by Naseer (46), Sameer (37), Aslam Mir Khan (25), Parvez (22) and Ayyaz (20) romped home for the loss of four wickets. __
