Friends, Jawar Al-Jazira and Falcon win RCL openers

Jazira opened Power Zone Twenty20 tournament with crushing wins here recently.
Eighteen teams, divided into three divisions — Super, Premier I and Premier II — are taking part in Power Zone T20 Tournament, being organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL).
The first match saw Falcon Cricket Club beat Cricket Samarwa by seven wickets. Cricket Samarwa taking the strike first scored 158 in 20 overs. AbuBaker (65), Aasif Sheikh (23) and Tariq (20) were the only players to put some runs on the board. Syed Sirajuddin and Atif took three wickets each. In reply, Falcon reached the target in 15.2 overs. Syed Sirajuddin (62) and Farhan (53) played confidently to take their team to victory. Abubaker took two wickets. Syed Sirajuddin was declared the Man of the Match.
The second match saw Friends beat Mehran by 33 runs. Batting first Friends made 233 runs where Sajid Cheema (62), Sajid Khan (56), Abid Khan (40) and Mohammed Hussain (33) scored valuable runs. Ejaz took three wickets. In reply, Mehran could score only 200 runs. Faheem Shah scored 97 runs. Shehzad added 25 and Moazam 20. Latafat, Abdulwahid, Abid Khan and Sajid Khan took two wickets each. Sajid Khan claimed the Man of the Match honors for his all-round performance.
The third match saw Jawar Al-Jazira beat Metrofile Sixers by 15 runs. Batting first Jawar Al-Jazira scored 198 runs in 20 overs. Ejaz Sibtain (61) and Haroon (57) were in good touch. Jamshaid, Khawar and Abbas took two wickets each. Metrofile, in reply, was bowled out for 183 runs. Basharat Ali and Azhar scored 53 and 47, respectively, while Abbas added 35. Zaheer, Rizwan and Asim bagged two wickets each. Ejaz Sibtain was declared the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
In another match Game Pro beat Al-Eid by 22 runs. Batting first, Game Pro made 184. Imtiaz Keiry scored 69 (8x4s and 2x6s), Farhan 42 and Faiq 20. Jameel Khan took four wickets, while Sohail claimed three. In reply, Al-Eid was bowled out for 162. Arshad hit 46, Rana Muneer 22 and Kashif 20. Imtiaz Keiry bagged a hat trick while Zakriya and Dilshad bagged two wickets each. Imtiaz was declared the Man of the Match.
Super Cricket Club beat Saudi Jaguar by eight wickets in another tie. Batting first, Saudi Jaguar made 201 in 20 overs. Danish Farooqi scored 50, Tahir 48 and Kamran Rao 40. Baber took three wickets, while Noman bagged two. In reply, Super achieved the target in 18.2 overs. Shafeeq (61), Adnan (50) and Noman (49) were among the runs. Awais of Saudi Jaguar took two wickets. Shafeeq was declared the Man of the Match.
Elsewhere Karachi Titans hammered Riyadh Sports Club by nine wickets, while Gujranwala thrashed Kashmir Press by seven wickets. __
