Nesma and Al-Saad score wins in JBL

Jeddah Eagles's coach Hassan tried to control the tempo of the game through his players, but their lack of experience handed Nesma a back-to-back win. EJ led the winning side with 18 points and was adjudged the Giordano Player of the Game, while Benzouzou scored 18 points for the Eagles.
The tournament is sponsored by Giordano Fashions (Ahmedullah), ABS-CBN - The Filipino Channel, Al-Haddaf Sports Wear (Bayoumi), Wael Sports Wear (Noel) and Saudi Signs (Sam Adora).
In another encounter Al-Saad beat Leylati 57-40. Leylati, a new team on the block, tried its best to maintain its offense game, but lost its steam in the dying minutes of the match. Charlie Bioca top-scored for Al-Saad with 17 points and was adjudged the Al-Haddaf Player of the Game, while Chris Jay Revil had 14 points for Leylati.
Fikra, meanwhile, handed MD Construction a 57-47 drubbing. A couple of important baskets in the final couple of minutes cost MD Construction the game. Bravo chipped in with 16 points for Fikra to claim the Saudi Sign Player of the Game award, while Manansala had 13 points for MD Construction.
In Thursday's matches Petro Rabigh beat TEMA 72-62. Petro Rabigh coach Jhun Agpalo wisely orchestrated the man-to-man defense in the final quarter to change the tempo of the game. Jefrey Noblejas scored 16 points for Petro Rabigh and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game, while Greg Cruz led TEMA with 14 points.
Marhaba clobbered MODA 62-47. The winner played its running game well throughout the match. Creencia top-scored with 12 points for the winner and claimed the Wael Player of the Game honor, while Rolly Tanjoco contributed 12 points for MODA.
Another match saw MAYA beat Diet Shop 80-57. The losing side hardly found its target in the fourth quarter. Lito Soriano scored 19 points for MAYA and was adjudged the Saudi Signs Player of the Game, while Ramos scored 20 points for the Diet Shop.
