JDC Yellow and Star Market prevail

JDC Yellow bounced back from its opening defeat to beat JDC White 76-65 in the Jeddah Dawa'h Center Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at Bin Mahfouz basketball court here.
JDC Yellow managed to get back into the game when White started to lose its steam in the final quarter. Enriquez topscored with 24 points, followed by Jameel Lumanog (21). Abdulrahman scored 28 points for the loser. Jameel Lumanog was adjudged as the Titan player of the game for his all-round performance.
This tournament is principally sponsored by Titan–Al Hussaini & Yahya Investment Group with co-sponsors Giordano Fashions, ABS-CBN - The Filipino Channel, Al-Haddaf Sports Wear and Wael Sports Wear. In another match, JDC Green defeated JDC Red 73-52. Both teams played good offense up to the third quarter. The winner then applied zone defense and it upset the rival. Rosales led the winner with 30 points and was adjudged as the Giordano player of the game while Waleed and Yousuf scored 13 points apiece for the loser.
In Siglakas Inter-Color matches, Computer beat Marriot 55-42. The winner mainly banked on Manalac in the shaded area to advance to the semifinals. Manalac made 22 points for the winner and was adjudged as the JBL player of the game while Soliven topscored with 13 points for the loser. Al-Attas outplayed Al-Saigh-1 75-54. Al-Attas proved too strong as this team is bannered by Jeddah All Star player Arquero who dominated the shaded area. He also topscored with 14 points for the winner while Cabuso led the loser with 25 points.
In Thursday's matches, Paninos defeated Bradley 87-75. Norman Huerto, in his usual dynamic offense, scored 18 points for the winner and was adjudged as the Al-Haddaf player of the game while Domingo chipped in 22 points for the loser.
Hanco Maintenance beat MODA 69-37. The winner was in an attacking mood in the whole game. Coach Jess Manlapaz played running game and shattered the MODA offense. Amor led with 20 points for the winner and was adjudged as the Wael Sports player of the game while Tordecilla contributed 9 points for the loser.
Star Market defeated Toyota 89-87. The winner scored a short jumper with 8 seconds remaining and loser's frantic attempt bounced off the rim. Diaz topscore with 33 points for the winner and was adjudged as Titan player of the game. Lamberto Gadingan led the loser with 25 points.
