Saad Construction beat El Macho 67-60 at the Bin Mafouz Basketball Court here recently. Both teams played solid defense throughout the game. El Macho was up but a couple of baskets late in the game gave Al-Saad its first win in second outing. Crowd favorite Inot scored 16 points and was adjudged the Titan Player of the Game, while Sorra led El Macho with 16 points. Friendster, meanwhile, beat Star Market 72-70. Star Market, bannered by Industrial City all-star almost won the game, but Jun Mabarit missed his two free throws with 12 seconds remaining. Friendster got the rebound and Arquero scored the winning basket. Cecilio, Balagtas and Arquero scored 12 points apiece for Friendster, while Dagohoy top-scored for Star Market with 24 points. Arquero was adjudged the Giordano Player of the Game. At Jeddah Dawa'h Center (JDC) Inter-Color games, JDC Red scored a 63-47 win over JDC Yellow. The undermanned JDC Yellow showed a fighting heart throughout the game, but JDC Red pounded JDC Yellow defense in the final quarter to secure the win. Waleed had 27 points for JDC Red and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game, while Jameel Lumanog scored 19 points for JDC Yellow. In another game JDC Green beat JDC White 56-46. JDC White controlled the game up to third quarter. JDC Green turned to running game in the final quarter as JDC White started to feel exhausted. Rehan and Yousuf scored 21 points apiece for JDC Green, while Ali and Abdullah had 14 points apiece for JDC White. Rehan was adjudged the Wael Sportswear Player of the Game. Al-Mustaqbal Hospital in another game beat Diet Shop 68-53. Diet Shop missed important baskets in the fourth quarter as Al-Mustaqbal Hospital continued its run-and-gun offense till the final whistle sounded. Bertolano top-scored for the winning side with 26 points and was adjudged the Al-Haddaf Player of the Game, while playing coach Arabia led Diet Shop with 11 points. — M.
