Butt hits a ton in Morning

JEDDAH — Aijaz Butt of Indomie Universal Cup slammed a ton to win against Inma while Black Hawks, Sadafco, MFCC, Apex Express and MM Group won their respective matches in the WPCA Morning Summer Tournament.
Indomie Universal Cups beat Inma by 9 wickets. Inma tallied 171 for 8. Safi scored 26, Nazeem 22, Dayan 32, Farooq 18, Ikram 15 not out and Zeeshan 16. Tariq Siddiqui took 2-22 and Alam 2-37.
Indomie United Cups reached 172 for 1 in 76 balls as Tariq Siddiqui hammered 32 and Aijaz Butt blasted an unbeaten 108 in 45 balls studded with 11 fours and 7 sixes. The two added 145 runs in just 60 balls for the opening stand.
Black Hawks downed Al-Mazroi Salonpas by 5 wickets. Al-Mazroi Salonpas batting was reduced to 11 for 3. Faruk then, hit an unbeaten 87 in 67 balls with 7 hits to the fence and Imran compiled 38 to get to 149 for 5. They produced 136 for the fourth wicket in 102 balls. Ahsan took 2-30.
Black Hawks, in chase, achieved 152 for 5 in 113 balls. Waqas made 35, Rehan 34, Arsalan 22 and Adnan Khan 17. Faisal Farukh took 2-15.
Sadafco defeated Royal Brothers by 71 runs. Sadafco plundered 201 for 7. Salman hammered 52 in 17 balls as he first added 66 with Ahmed (15) and then 53 with Ali Jan Mugheri (34). Mohammed Madni was run out for 42. Hameed took 2-50.
Royal Brothers was restricted to 130 for 8. Hamid hit 15, Qasim 25 and Tasawwer 27. Ahmed grabbed 2-16.
MFCC prevailed over Nawayeth by 6 wickets. Nawayeth CC got to 151 for 7. Qamar made 27. He added 59 with Sufiyan (37). Salman HB hit 38. Tayyab took 3-27 and Mahmood 2-24.
MFCC reached 152 for 4 in 105 balls. Farhan hit 17. Mudassir Afridi stroked 36 as he added 55 with Jibran (44). Faiz remained unbeaten on 21 and Zia unbeaten on 25. Salman HB and Rafeeq had identical figures of 2-28.
Apex Express won by 7 wickets over AGA. AGA was bowled out for 125. Mohsin made 20, Muzammil 18, Hassan 19 and Farooq 42. Abubaker took 3-19, Umar 3-20 and Mohsin 2-28.
APEX Express, in chase, got to 129 for 3 in 96 balls. Abdulazeez remained unbeaten on 58 off 41 balls as he added a match-winning 67 with Asif who remained not out on 33.
MM Group trounced Deccan Youth by 4 wickets. Deccan Youth was bundled out for 117. Shareef Q stroked 23 and Khaled 20. Sajjad took 3-11, Rahimullah 3-23 and Umair 2-32.
MM Group, in reply, faced 105 balls to get to 118 for 6. Ijaz smashed unbeaten 74 in 39 balls with 2 sixes and 8 fours. The team was struggling at 9 for 3. Awais took 2-24 and Aslam 2-32.
Afternoon Summer
In the two matches played, Contraco and Lothers emerged victorious in WPCA Summer Afternoon Tourney.
Contraco defeated UCC by 57 runs. Contraco piled up 185-7. Waseem made 33, Mehmood Asif 34, Nadeem 44, Moon Shah 27 and Rashid 20. Yasser Ameen took 3-20.
UCC in response was stranded at 128. Mudassir stroked 27, Abrar 38 and Amir unbeaten 16. Rashid took 4-10, Sufiyan 3-15 and Asif 2-25.
Lothers won by 3 wickets. NAI Juffali was restricted to 128-8. Sardar made 20, Shahzad 21 and Salman 15. Pasha took 3-14 and Yasir 2-19.
Lothers, in chase, reached the target of 129 for 7 in 102 balls. Khurram Azeez hit 26 and Yasar 40. The two added 68. Shamsuddin compiled 21. Ashfaq took 2-10 and Asghar 2-27.
