JEDDAH — WPCA Garameesh Rusk Super League kicked off with enthusiasm, fun and frolics here at the WPCA Eskan grounds. The unique tournament with 19 teams in color is being sponsored by Garameesh Rusk.
Aftab CC downed APF by 3 wickets. APF posted 168-7. Ali Ansar stroked 22 and added 47 with Majed Khan (34). Ehtesham was run out for 33, Umar made 19 and Adnan 15. Shahid Imran took 2-36, a wicket each went to Waqas Riyaz, Danish Hanif and Nayyar. Aftab CC, in chasing, had a disastrous start with 40 for 4. Nayyar Fareed then smashed a match-winning unbeaten 79 in 40 balls with 8 fours and a six, Shahid Imran 24 and Danish Hanif 15. Majed Khan grabbed 4-36 and Nadeem 2-24. ALS Warriors trounced Alhamrani Fuchs by 33 runs. ALS Warriors piled up 208-5. Emaduddin Omer blasted an unbeaten 123 in 66 balls with 14 fours and 4 sixes. He first added 60 with Mohammed Khan (13) and then 89 for the second wicket with Humayun Khan who made 50 in 25 balls. Zeeshan took 2-27 and Adnan 2-33. Alhamrani Fuchs, in reply, lost early wickets as Zeeshan hammered 72 in 41 balls with 5 fours, Haider hit 18, Khoban 18 and Saqib 22. Emadudddin grabbed 3-11, Saim 2-22 and Abdulaleem 2-28. Zultrack prevailed over IDB Group by 27 runs. Zultrack put on 208-6. Mohsin hit 38, Shafiq 21, Omer 38, Subaiyal 26, Qayam Khan 36 and Yasir unbeaten 16. Hashim Khan took 2-33, Shabbir 2-44, Aziz and Kashif got one each. IDB Group, in response, was stranded at 181-6. Usman Gulab made 66 with 4 fours and 3 sixes and Faiz 17. But once the openers were sent back, it lost wickets at regular intervals. Noor Butt stroked an unbeaten 35. Qaim Khan took 2-26, while Yasir and Waqas got one each. Qaim Khan: Man of the Match.
Nesma humbled Reel & Rom Spiked by 71 runs. Nesma holding plundered 190-3. Furquan Ahmed made 32, Saqib Butt 55 in 37 balls, Shafeeq unbeaten 49 and Saidul unbeaten 21. Reel & Rom Spiked could manage only 119-9. It was well placed at 67-1 as Abdullah made 30 and Wajid Khan 18. Once the partnership was broken it lost wickets in a heap. Muneer made 25. Jawed took 3-19, Rizwan 3-25 and Rana Abrar 2-16. Saqib Butt: Man of the Match.
Crown Steel beat MCC by 6 wickets. MCC produced 198-7, thanks to a scintillating century by Khawar Sohail who made 105 in 50 balls with 6 sixes and 12 fours. Ijaz made 56 in 35 balls. Shoaib Ali scalped 2-29 and Wahid Khan 2-37. Crown Steel reached 202-4 in 98 balls. Babar Hussain remained unbeaten on 79 off 32 balls with 14 fours and a six. He added a match-winning 97 with Waqas Ausaf (34 not out). Asif compiled 57 in 34 balls after 2 quick early wickets. Man of the Match: Babar Hussain.
Nestle Milo thrashed Emper Perfumes by 75 runs. Nestle Milo racked up 212-4 despite losing top order cheaply. Imran Sarwar blasted an unbeaten 109 in 62 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes. He stitched 127 in 62 balls for the unbroken fifth wicket stand with Abdullah Zahid (unbeaten 26). Azeem made 15. Mehboob Shabbir claimed 2-37. Emper Perfumes responded with 137 all out. Basharat made 24, Farhan 21, Hussain 16 and Amer Butt 24. Osama Amjed bowled magnificently for 5-15, posting the first hat trick of the tourney. Irfan took 2-32 and Bilal Malik 2-18.
