AMI Juffali takes on Mahmood Saeed in Afternoon final

Mahmood Saeed thrashed China Southern Air Lines by 5 wickets and AMI Juffali downed Al-Safree XI by 60 runs to fight it out in the final of the WPCA Afternoon Tournament.
In other matches, Johnson Control Blue, Al-Mazroi, Mercedes Benz and Hala International School and ALJ-Toyota emerged winners.
In the first semifinal, AMI Juffali chose to bat and racked up 222-5 in 20 overs as Imad blasted 69 in 43 balls and Imran hit 52. Together they added 112 runs for the third wicket despite losing wicket on the first ball. Nadeem scored 38, Rafi Gujjar remained unbeaten on 26 and Sufiyan made 24. Zahid took 3-44 and Waseeq 2-32.
Al Safree chasing huge 11.15 runs per over lost wickets at regular intervals to be 6 down for 89 in 11 overs . AMI restricted it to 162 as Rafi Gujjar scalped 3-24, Sufiyan 3-29 and Zafar 2-29. Asif got one. Azher resisted with 27 and Aftab Malik 23.
China Southern Airlines began well against Mahmood Saeed through openers Faheem (44) and Awais 30. But the turning point came when Wajahat came into attack and reduced them to 91-7 and then to 109-8 by taking 6 wickets for just 15 runs. China Southern Airlines was all out for 130 in 105 balls. Apart from Wajahat Abdul Aziz and Amjad took the other wickets. Mehmood Saeed successfully achieved the victory target (131) in 82 balls with 5 wickets to spare. Wajahat hammered a match-winning 78 in 41 balls and Irfan made 23. Abdullah Zahid and Awais claimed 2 wickets each for 35 and 33 runs respectively.
ALJ Toyota batted first against Hala Academy White and made 147 to win by 15 runs. Adil Rajput made 28, Sami 24 not out and Zayed 23. Saqlain took 3-26, Farooq 2-13, Abdulmoeed 2-20 and Janzeb 2-29. Hala Academy White in reply was restricted to 132 all out. Furqan fought a lone battle with 68 and Shamsuddin hit 19. Tanveer grabbed 3-19, Sheraz 3-35 and Zahid 2-22.
Hala International School using the track first against Marine services Blue piled up 156-4 as Hamid stroked 83 in 50 balls and Fahad 23. Marine Services Blue in response could only make 123-6. Abdul Rafay scalped 2-26. Farrukh made 32 and Aqeel 21.
Mercedes Benz defeated Attieh Steel.
Al-Mazroi XI, batting first against Sana Sports, racked up 172-6 with Faisal hammering 47, Kifayat 36 and Zubair 21. Kamran took 2-22.
Sana Sports in reply was all out for 136. Farooq grabbed 3-27, Laiq 2-11, Faisal 2-13 and Kifayat 2-32. Khalid stroked 30 and Majed 26 for Sana.
Johnson Control Blue won against G D Design after making 188-6. Aasif blasted 71 in 39 balls and Aamer made 28. Ehtesham took 3-39. G D Design responded with 105-6 with Zaib making 25 and Yahya 21 whereas Saeed accounted for 2-17 and Sheraz 2-29.
