Shamnad, Faisal and Muzaffar shine in Amex T20

RIYADH — Shamnad and Muzaffar Majeed scored stylish centuries, while Faisal Khan grabbed a six-wicket haul in seventh round of RCA Amex T20.
Organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA), this tournament is sponsored by the American Express Company.
Al-Kharaj League
Lahore Lions won a high-scoring thriller against Sama Steel. Rizwan blasted 63, Ijaz 42, Asif 53 and Nasir 42 to take Sama Steel to 234 for 5. Ubeid and Muzaffar claimed 2 wickets each. In reply, Lahore Lions chased the target in 19.4 overs. Muzaffar Majeed led his team to victory with an unbeaten 115 off 46 balls. Qamar and Waseem supported with 53 and 46, respectively.
Riyadh Aces lost to Lahore Badshah by 48 runs. Lahore Badshah scored 229 for the loss of 5 wickets. Usman made 53, Mudassar 43, Adnan 41 and Fahad 39. Majid picked up 2 wickets. Riyadh Aces could manage only 181, in reply. Hassan top scored with 47, Adil made 35. Akram bagged 3 wickets.
Pak Shaheen thumped KFSH Blues by 8 wickets. Batting first, KFSH Blues was all out for 154. Munawar batted well for his 49 and Ayaz scored 30. Faisal Khan was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 6 wickets for 24. Abuzar took 2 wickets. Pak Shaheen chased the target in 13 overs. Abdul Waheed and Abdul Qadir hit 80 and 52, respectively. Imtiaz took 2 wickets.
Hayer League
TBCC won against Detecon Eagles by 41 runs. TBCC compiled 231 for 6 wickets. Shamnad smashed a stunning 129 off 50 balls. Shareef scored 50. Detecon Eagles replied with 190. Faisal grabbed 3 wickets and Shameed 2.
Tigers cruised to victory over Lahore Badshah Green by 8 wickets. Lahore Badshah Green piled up 188. Zeeshan (51) and Zahdain (66) smashed fifties and Awais added 33. Wasif picked up 3 wickets and Junaid 2. Salish and Kamran scored unbeaten fifties to give Tigers victory in the 17th over. Salish scored 84 and Kamran made 50.
In a thrilling encounter, Black Caps humbled Nouman Gymkhana by 2 runs. Black Caps collected 229 in their allotted overs. Amjad took 2 wickets. Nouman Gymkhana was restricted to 227-6, in reply. Shahzad top scored with 70, while Amjad and Aftab added 48 and 40, respectively.
Kashmir Strikers won against Challengers XI by 73 runs. Kashmir Strikers racked up 204 for 8. Shabir stroked 54 and Sameer 36. Saifullah grabbed 4 wicket and Ehsan 2. Challengers XI crawled to 131 for 5. Fisal played a fighting knock of 62. Jahangir claimed 3 wickets.
Ravi flattened Green Bangla by 64 runs. Ravi compiled 203-7. Abu Baker hit 72, Javaid 35 and Shahbaz 30. Green Bangla was bowled out for 139. Afzal bagged 3 wickets, while Zeeshan, Usman and Adnan scalped 2 each.
Kashmir XI lost a thriller to Thales by 1 wicket. Amir (56), Ishfaq (53) and Shawkat (51) helped Kashmir XI post 215-4. Thales held nerves to achieve the target in 19.4 overs. Qiaser led the chase with 91 and Suja contributed 40. Showkat picked up 4 wickets.
