Crown, Waqas, and AOT triumph

JEDDAH — AOT downed APF, Crown Steel crushed MCC and Waqas Malik XI won against IDB Group in the SCC Premier Cup, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center (SCC) and managed by Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA).
AOT defeated APF by 5 wickets. APF tallied 180 for 7. Majed Khan stroked 20, Adnan 42 not out, Ehtesham 26 and Yasser 34. Ramez took 2-23.
AOT, in chase, got to 184 for 5 on the second last ball. Usman scored 66 in 40 balls, Moiz 15, Aqeel 21, Naeem Shah 15 and Qasim 20 not out. Majed Khan took 2-20.
Crown Steel thrashed MCC by 7 wickets. MCC posted 135 for 5. Khawar Sohail batted magnificently to compile 91 in 57 balls with 4 sixes and 8 fours as others failed. Faiq Habeeb scalped 2-25.
Crown Steel, in chase, got to 139 for 3. Shoaib Ali played a captain's innings of 76 in 29 balls, studded with 5 sixes and 8 fours. He first added 44 with Anwaar Chandi (16) and then 65 with Javed Iqbal (16). Shoukat scored 18 not out. Ijaz took 2-25.
Waqas Malik XI trounced IDB Group by 6 wickets in 106 balls. IDB Group posted 155 for 8 through Rahat Ali making 21 as he added 56 with Usman Gulab who hammered 58 with 7 fours. Obaidurrehman stroked 39. Junaid grabbed 2-21, Aamir 2-25 and Waqas 2-36.
Waqas Malik XI took 106 balls to get to 156 for 4. Hafiz Adeel top scored with 54 in 35 balls as he added a match-winning 90 with skipper Waqas who made 46. Rana Haroon remained unbeaten on 30. Khalid Iqbal took 3 for 23.
SCC Afternoon Cup
Four matches took place in the SCC Afternoon Cup. Lothers won against Jotun Paints, Youth Cricket Club trounced El Seif Engg Co., Thales Group downed Natcom and Zultrack humbled Awesome Iklil.
Youth Cricket Club won by 2 wickets. El Seif Engg Co. posted 137 for 8. Sadam made 38 and Kamran 18. Haris claimed 3 for 25 and Rithik 2-26.
Youth Cricket Club got to 140 for 8 in 114 balls. Nasser hit 60 in 34 balls and Zeeshan 22. Faizan took 3 for 18, Kamran and Shahbudin claimed an identical 2-23.
Zultrack trashed Awesome Iklil by 60 runs. Zultrack, deciding to bat, piled up 189 for 6. Mohsin stroked 50 as he first added 38 with Omer Mukhtar (22) then 72 with Subaiyyal who made 32 in 27. Khadim remained unbeaten on 38 and Qaim Khan hit 21. Two scalps each went to Hassan (2-26), Asad (2-30) and Farhat (2-32).
Awesome Iklil, in reply, was stranded at 129 for 9. Khalil made 23, Waqas 28, Raza 20 and Abdulrehman 20. Waqas took 3 for 18, Zeeshan 2-11 and Qaim Khan 2-18.
Thales Group had the better of Natcom by 4 wickets. Natcom was bowled out for 86. Asad scored 30 and Zahid 13. Fareed took 3 for 7.
Thales Group, in chase, reached 87 for 6 in 76 balls. After early setbacks, Zia hit 21, Atif Raja 17 and Yasir remained unbeaten on 20. Asad took 2-16 and Abdullah 2-25.
