RCA Champions League season II begins

RIYADH — Huraymala Gladiators, Hayer Tigers and Majmah United registered thumping victories in the first round of RCA Champions League season II, while Dirab Lions, Diriah Dolphins and Al-Kharaj Kings suffered setbacks.
RCA Champions League is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) in collaboration with Cricket Saudi International Academy.
Al-Kharaj Kings vs. Majmah United
Yasif and Amjad's all-round performances helped Majmah United defeat Al-Kharj Kings by 7 wickets. Batting first, Al-Kharaj got a relatively slow start from openers as Nadeem Wani scored 51 off 43 balls and captain Nadeem Babar scored 35 off 37. Middle order tried to raise the scoring rate and lost quick wickets in the process. Only Munwar managed 22 runs. Yasif grabbed 3 wickets, Amjad got 2 and Kamran took one.
In reply, Majmah chased down the target in 16 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Amjad smashed a brilliant 76 off 38 balls. Yasif contributed 33 and Asif scored 40. Amjad Ali was named the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
Huraymala Gladiators vs. Dirab Lions
Gladiators got the better of Dirab by 51 runs. Star player Abdul Waheed smashed a brilliant century to help Gladiators post 205. Abdul Waheed scored 105 off 60 balls. Abdul Qadir made 31 and Adnan 21. Saqib took 2 wickets, while Mateen and Abu Baker got 1 each. Lions, in reply, got good start from Nasir Abbasi (28) and Adeel (40) but middle order collapsed to Abdul Qadir who took 4 wickets. Majid scored a quick 33 batting at No. 10. Samiullah took 2, while Iftikhar, Alamin, Zainullah and Imran grabbed 1 each. Abdul Waheed was declared the Man of the Match for his stunning ton.
Diriyah Dolphins vs. Hayer Tigers
Tigers out played Dolphins by 8 wickets. Thanks to exceptional bowling by Muzaffar and Nadeem, Dolphins was bowled out for 118 in 13.4 overs.
Muzaffar took 4 for 35 and Nadeem grabbed 3 for 21. Asif and Irfan took 1 each. Abdul Wahab (23), Fahad (19) and Irfan (18) showed some fight. Tigers rushed to the target in just 12.4 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Nadeem Shah blasted 51 off 34 balls and Waseem Jutt scored 34. Fahd and Zainal got 1 wicket each. Muzaffar Majeed was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 4-wicket haul.
