RIYADH — Al-Kharaj League, Dirab League and Al-Majmah League recorded victories in the second round matches of the Champions League of Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA). This tournament is being organized by RCA in collaboration with Cricket Saudi International.
Al-Kharaj League defeated Huraymala League by 38 runs. Al-Kharaj elected to bat first after winning the toss and posted 193-3. Captain Nadeem Baber displayed his class by scoring an unbeaten 93 off 61 balls.
Fahad and Muzaffar batted well to make 35 and 26, respectively. Zeeshan and Imran Younis got 1 wicket each. Huraymala League didn't start well and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. It was bundled out for 155. Asif (49), ObaidUllah (23) and Obaid (20) showed some resistance. Muzaffar bowled an outstanding spell, picking up 6 wickets for just 12 runs. Imtiaz, Shakeel and Ayaz claimed 1 wicket each. Muzaffar was named Man of the Match.
Dirab League won convincingly against Hayer League. Hayer League's decision to bat first didn't go well as it was bowled out for a meager 112. Rustam Faiz top scored with 34 and Ishaq made 17. Raja Gulraiz and Adnan picked up 2 wickets each while Yasir, Majid and Saqib Saleem grabbed 1 each.
In reply, Dirab's openers started the charge straight away. Nasir Abbasi blasted 53 off 23 balls and Waseem Jutt remained unbeaten on 52 off 26 balls. Dirab League achieved the target in the 9th over and won the match by 9 wickets. Nasir Abbasi was declared Man of the Match.
Al-Majmah League won a last ball thriller against Diriyah League. Diriyah League scored 198-7 through Qaiser Hussain (56), Waseem Riaz (45) and Shoaib (37). Abdul Qadir, Abdul Wahab, Saif and Dawood got 1 wicket each.
In reply, Majmah League achieved the target on the last ball of the match. Abdul Qadir played a stroke-filled unbeaten 71. Hamza Abbasi (31) and Farooq Hassan (29) helped the team to victory. Javed Aslam and Anis Ali Khan grabbed 3 wickets each, while Syed Usman got 1. Abdul Qadir was named Man of the Match.
