RIYADH — Al-Kharaj, Dirab and Al-Majmah booked their place in RCA Champions League semifinals although last round matches are yet to be played.
Huraymala and Hayer leagues are fighting for the final spot in the last four. The Champions League is being organized by Riyadh Cricket Association in collaboration with Cricket Saudi International.
Al-Kharaj vs. Diriyah
Al-Kharaj League registered a comfortable six-wicket victory over Diriyah League. Diriyah opted to bat first and posted an average score of 180 for the loss of 8 wickets. Syed Usman top-scored with 40, while Shoaib with 29 and Qaiser 28 were the other key contributors. Malik Fahad and Mubashir claimed two wickets each.
Al-Kharaj chased down the target in 16.4 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Bilal Wani hit 45, Malik Fahad 44 and Afzal 31 to take the team to victory. Malik Fahad was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
Huraymala vs. Hayer
Huraymala defeated Hayer by 57 runs. Huraymala won the toss and, batting first, posted 226 all out in 19 overs. Nadeem Shah smashed 58 off 25 balls. Asif added 35, Rizwan 29, Zeeshan 29 and Amin 22. Ishaq was the pick of the bowlers as he took 2 wickets. Hayer panicked in the chase and was sent packing for just 169 in 17 overs. Zakir notched 55 and Ishaq 51. Abdulrehman also batted well for his 23. Yasir Ghafoor and Zeeshan Ali grabbed 3 wickets each. Nadeem Shah was adjudged Man of the Match.
Al-Majmah vs. Dirab
In a high-scoring thriller, Majmah defeated Dirab by 12 runs. Batting first, Majmah posted the biggest total of the day as it collected 250 for 6. Openers Abdul Waheed (76) and Ibrar ul Haq (55) provided a strong base and Hamza (47) carried the momentum in the middle. Abdul Qadir's 31 off 13 balls provided an ideal finish. Dirab's bowling looked toothless other than Abdul Mannan, who claimed five wickets. In reply, Dirab's top order started well with Waseem Jutt hitting 89, Nasir Abbasi 43 and Mannan 37. The middle order collapsed, thanks to brilliant bowling by Waheed and Aziz, restricting Dirab to 238 for 8 in its quota of 20 overs. Waheed, Aziz and Dawood shared 2 wickets each. Abdul Waheed was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
