Netflix picks LG smart TVs for second consecutive year
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 23 - 06 - 2016

LG Electronics in Saudi Arabia, a pioneer smart TV and advanced electronics manufacturer, has announced that local customers can now enjoy a superb Netflix experience, thanks to LG top-tier smart TV sets. The announcement noted that LG high-resolution TVs reflect the company's utmost dedication to allowing customers to live an unparalleled and optimal Internet TV streaming experience that can hardly be found in any other TV.
Netflix, the American global provider of streaming movies and TV series to over 50 million subscribers in around 40 countries, has recommended select models of LG smart TVs and recognized them under its evaluation program because of their high-quality resolution and excellent performance.
This is the second time in a row that Netflix recommends LG smart TVs to consumers. The select models, designated "Netflix Recommended TVs" have passed the Netflix's rigorous, criteria-based smart TV evaluation program.
In fact, these models have even met the additional rigorous criteria that have been set by Netflix for the year 2016 when many of smart TVs from other brands failed to do so.
Netflix is expected to announce in the foreseeable future more LG smart TV models that have satisfied its criteria, some of which include easy access to Netflix account and fast Netflix App Switching.
The select models that made the Global Netflix Recommended TVs list, and which Netflix recommends consumers to buy, include LG SIGNATURE OLED TV G6, 4K OLED TVs (models E6 AND C6), LG SUPER UHD TVs (models UH9500, UH8500) and UHD TVs (models UH7500, uh6500, UH6300 and UH6100). These models made it to the list because they proved that they are manufactured with superior craftsmanship touch to meet myriad customers' needs.
The high standards and performance of LG products and the endless creative craftsmanship made Netflix sign a global partnership agreement with LG Electronics in order to venture into more markets in the Middle East, on top of them the Saudi market.
Eddie Jun, President of LG Electronics-Saudi Arabia, commented, "Our utmost goal is to present clients with innovative appliances that will make them live unforgettable experiences that will be etched on their minds. We will continue to maintain and enhance our leading position in the Saudi market and produce TVs with the highest standards and cutting-edge technology."
Salman Alsabban, Corporate Marketing Manager, LG Electronics-Saudi Arabia, said "LG Electronics is always proud to produce very smart TVs that support fast Internet access and enjoyable Netflix experience."
