Wahab posts hat trick; Farooqui, Obaid and Babu hit tons

Saeed Wahab claimed a hat trick and guided Young Guns to an easy victory over Zamil in the third week of Al-Markb T20 Super Cup, sponsored by Al-Markb International, and organized by EPCA.
Batting first, Zamil was bundled out for 96 as Wahab ran through the batting, claiming 6-22, including a hat trick. However, the bowlers of Zamil did well to claim 8 wickets but it was in vain as Kashif scored 27 to steer his team to victory. Saeed of Zamil claimed 4-15 Young Guns scored 99-8 in 17 overs.
Emerald Ashes stunned Saudi Diesel. Saudi Diesel, batting first, posted a meager total of 132-7. Mohammed Afzal remained unbeaten on 46 off 42 balls. Praveen claimed 3-22. In reply, Emerald Ashes scored at a rapid pace as Rajesh blasted 80 off 41 balls with 8 boundaries and 5 sixes along with Manu Vijayan (38 off 22). It achieved the target in just 11.2 overs for the loss of one wicket.
SKFCC dominated DHL. SKFCC opener Ifran Farooqui's splendid 115 off 56 balls with 19 boundaries and 3 sixes and an unbeaten half century by young Noman Ashfaq (56 off 19 with 10 boundaries and a six) helped SKFCC post 235-4. DHL promoted from First Division scored at a slow pace and managed 169-6. Skipper Kashan made 69 and Manazir 36. Noman Ashfaq and Afaq claimed 2 wickets each.
Eastern Arabia halted the progress of Bilal Tigers. One of the main contenders for the title, Eastern Arabia stopped the winning streak of Bilal Tigers. Eastern Arabia, batting first, scored 208-7, with Naushad scoring 70 and a consistent Afwan hitting 43. Omer claimed 3-41. In reply, Bilal Tigers reached 195-6 through Arsalan Butt (30), Omer (42), Zeeshan (30) and Sadoon (41).
Bin Delamah Yorkers beat ENERCO by 65 runs. Aqeel's quick fire 83 off 54 and Nabeel's 67 guided BDYCC to 221-4. ENERCO, in reply, could manage only 157-9. Mubashir hit 43, Shoaib 30 and Ammen 32. Bharat picked up 3-23 and Aqeel 4-23.
Gladiators won by 8 wickets against HET Falcons. HET Falcons posted a huge total of 195-6 as Ubaid made 52, Farhan 44, Kamran 35 and Atarurrasul 28. Iqbal claimed 3-25. In reply, Gladiators made it in the 18th over losing just 3 wickets. Mansur Sattar top scored with 77 and Wamique made 60. They put on 134 for the second wicket and ensured that they made 196-3 in 18 overs.
Nawab Tigers defeated Marooj Rawan by 6 wickets. Batting first Marooj Rawan scored 178-8. Nadeem slammed 51, Waheed 27 and Ajmal 27. Amir and Salman claimed two wickets each. Tanvir once again gave Nawab Tigers a good start with 45. Mohsin and Salman scored 37 each and ensured Nawab Tigers made 181-4 in 17 overs.
Al-Sehan Karachi downed AIFCOM. AIFCOM, batting first, posted 174-7. Sajjad top scored with 58 and Shahid 25. Owais and Ejaz claimed 2 wickets each. Al-Sehan openers Farrukh (48) and Arsalan (29) played well and put on 74. Later, Khalid (48), along with Ijaz (30), ensured they made 175-3 in 19 overs.
Team Arabia shocked formidable Pan Gulf. Pan Gulf managed 152-8 through Shabbir (42) and Abdulmannan (39). Alex claimed 3-32. Team Arabia, in reply, made 156 in 19 overs. Kannan hit 31, Hussain 34 and Nafsal 29. Anzir was the pick of the bowlers with 3-35.
Other results: Young Guns beat Zamil by 2 wickets;
Al-Jomaih Automotive defeated ECI Rockers by 35 runs; Saipem beat Kashmir XI by 7 wickets; Khobar United routed Royal Kashmir by 128 runs; Khan XI eased past Hyderabad Greens by 59 runs; Al-Bawardi CC thrashed RAR by 10 wickets; Shayan XI got past Snamprgtti Drilling by 6 wickets. — SG
