JPL-Asaduddin Owaisi Cup begins

JEDDAH — Jeddah Premier League's (JPL) season-9 Asaduddin Owaisi Cup 2016 was off to a hectic start as 32 teams out of 50 battled in 16 league matches in the morning and afternoon sessions on the inaugural day.
This event is mainly supported by Dream India Group, a real estate development company from Hyderabad, India, Mumtaz Group's Mumtaz Sports Academy and Al-Wafaq Al-Shaheqa Group for plumbing materials. Hala Cricket Academy, B-Cola, Halwani Brothers, Khind Electronics and Kako are the co-sponsors. The tourney is organized by JPL, under the umbrella of Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
In the opening match, Gulbarga Cricket Club posted 58-9 in its allotted 15 overs. In reply, Azizia Deccan reached 62-1 in just 4.1 overs. Mubeen was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 3 for 4.
Empower CC, batting first, made 102-6 against Super Stars CC in the second match. In reply, Super Stars managed 98-8. Roshan of Empower was declared the Man of the Match for his 3-25.
In the third match, Jeddah Strikers, batting first, scored 86 against Arabian XI. In reply, Arabian Xl scored 88-2 in 13.3 overs. Amir, who made 36, was named the Man of the Match.
Jeddah Jaguars, batting first, tallied 106-8 against Rising Stars in the fourth match. Rising Stars made 82-8 and lost the match by 24 runs. Ahmed hit 27 and earned the Man of the Match award.
In the fifth match, Al-Amri Cricket Club collected 175-5 against Deccan Youth Rangers. In reply, Deccan Youth Rangers was all out for 99. The Man of the Match was Sattar, who hit 93 runs in 47 deliveries and claimed 3-22.
Kings Xl Hyderabad, batting first, scored 153-4 in the sixth match against MIM Brigade. MIM Brigade scored 87-8 and Kings Xl won the match by 66 runs. Man of the Match: Ghulam (55 runs).
In the 7th match, Barik Arabian Trading Services (ATS) lost to IOE Cricketer Club by 7 wickets. ATS scored 117-6 and IOE coasted home (118-5) in 13.2 overs. Man of the Match: Tabrez (42 runs). Elite CC scored 80-7 against Azizia XI in the 8th match. In reply, Azizia XI made 83-3 in 8.3 overs. Man of the Match: Shakeel (48 off 23 balls).
Challengers Cricket Club was all out for 94 against Salama Falcons in the 9th match. In reply, Salama Falcons rushed to 98-2 in 12.4 overs. Man of the Match: Naseeb.
In the 10th match, Azizia Deccan Avengers tallied 128-8 against Prime XI. In reply, Prime-XI was bowled out for 96 in 12.5 overs. Man of the Match: Tareq (4 for 5).
Electing to bat first Khind scored 100-8 and Rajasthan Royals replied with 102-3 in 13.1 overs in the 11th match. Man of the Match: Sajid (41 off 28 balls).
Kingdom Sports Academy (KSA Green), bating first, collected 155-8 against Coastal Gladiators in the 12th match. In reply, Coastal Gladiators fell for 114. Man of the Match: Fazlan (64 off 23 balls).
In the 13th match, Telangana Warriors, batting first, was all out for 77 against Independence Cricket Club. In reply, Independence Cricket Club scored 78-4 in 11.2 overs. Man of the Match: Nayyar (24 runs and 3-15).
Reliance Cricket Club posted 134-6 in the 14th match against Azizia Deccan Royals. In reply, Azizia Deccan Royals managed 111-8. Man of the Match: Ilyas (3 for 19).
In the 15th match, Hyderabad Royals scored 108-8 against Nazar Guys. In reply, Nazar Guys hit 114-7 in 14.4 overs. Man of the Match: Sajjad Patel (41 runs).
In the last match of the day, Super Chargers, batting first, scored 107-8 against Friends Cricket. In reply, Friends Cricket team reached 110-8 in 14.4 overs. Man of the Match: Abdul Aziz (48 runs).
