The Mathematics Department Heads' Forum recently held activities in Al Baha. The forum witnessed the participation of 100 male and female mathematics supervisors representing 45 kingdom- wide educational departments and the presence of Saeed bin Mohamed Mukhayesh, Director General of Al Baha Education Department; Abdulla bin Nasser Al Shalfan, Head of the Mathematics Department in the General Management of Education Supervision – Riyadh; Ahmed Abdul Kareem Al Tuhami, manager of the Education Supervision Department – Al Baha district, and a number of mathematics specialists from within and outside the district. In his speech at the forum, Mukhayesh referred to the importance of supervision role, being the cornerstone of performance quality, which involves and forms the base of most of the divisions and departments in the educational arena. He highlighted the necessity of keeping up with the changes and rapid development of modern education in all fields as well as using the means of modern technology appropriately to achieve the positive output for learners. The forum witnessed many presentations and papers delivered by mathematics teachers and supervisors stressing their leading role in developing the educational process by keeping abreast of modern means and methods in education.
