RIYADH — Round five matches were played in the ongoing Saudi Orix Tournament organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi Orix leasing company.
Huraymala League
AKCC defeated Super CC by 65 runs. AKCC made 230 in its allotted 20 overs. After a top order collapse, batting at No. 7, Kamal smashed 105 off just 46 balls. Imran scored 33. Murtaza was the pick of the bowlers who claimed 5 wickets.
In reply, Super CC fumbled to just 165. Shahid cracked 60 and Kashif 25. Latafat picked up 4 wickets, while Abid grabbed 3.
In a thriller, Hayderabadi Warriors held nerves to claim a 1-run victory over Sulaiman XI. Hayderabadi Warriors piled up 178-8. Chand grabbed 3 wickets. Bukhari and Nauman shared 2 wickets each. Sulaiman XI managed 177. Bukhari top scored with 65 and Ansar made 49.
Pakistan Falcons outplayed Aisco with a 7-wicket win. Aisco was all out for 98. Israr top scored with 25. Arif was the pick of the bowlers with 6 wickets and Farooq took 2. Pakistan Falcons rushed to the target in just 10.3 overs. Yasir slammed a quick-fire 56.
KFSH Green won over L'usine by 52 runs. KFSH Green tallied 191. Ubaid (50), Bakhshi (45) and Suhail (33) batted well. Zafar claimed 4 wickets. L'usine was restricted to 139-9 in its allotted overs. Talal (37), Ali (32) and Zafar (23) showed some resistance. Mansoor and Safder spun the ball to grab 4 and 3 wickets, respectively.
Hayer League
Tigers thumped Watan Pal by 8 wickets. Watan Pal posted a modest total of 171-4. Zahid produced a brilliant innings of 92 and Quresh helped with 35. Aman and Sailesh took 2 wickets each. Tigers succeeded in 17.1 overs. Sailesh (71) and Mahesh (53) scored fifties, while Kamran made 32.
Shaheen Strikers was defeated by Green Bangla by 50 runs. Green Bangla scored 231-7. Alamin (52), Mithun (45) and Musa (30) batted well. Shaheen Strikers fumbled to 181 all out. Alamin was unplayable and took 6 wickets. Riyadh Fighters PPF defeated AKCC Blues by 76 runs. Riyadh Fighters PPF racked up 183. Asif (41), Amir (39) and Salman (28) were the main contributors. Ali picked up 3 and Atif 2 took wickets, respectively. AKCC Blues was restricted to 107-7. Ali top scored with 23. Naseer and Waqas claimed 3 wickets each.
