Japanese shares fell Tuesday after overnight losses on Wall Street and European markets and as export-oriented issues were dragged down by the yen's rise. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average lost 73.1 points, or 0.81 per cent, to end at 8,900.74 while the broader Topix index was down 9.28 points, or 1.23 per cent, at 747.4, according to a report of DPA.
