A Conference on 'Investment in Islamic countries,' began here today with the participation of delegations representing Arab and Islamic countries including Saudi Arabia. The conference is organized by Jordan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As many as 200 Islamic investment personalities around the Arab and Muslim world are attending the conference, which will focus on areas of prospective cooperation between businessmen to open the doors to investment in many Muslim countries. 'It will also aim at opening new horizons for economic cooperation and trade exchange and investment between Muslim countries, and provide a new environment to facilitate business networking and building partnerships between the business community, governments, banks and institutions to engage in financing operations in the Muslim world, according to a statement issued here this morning. --MORE
