Jordan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry highlighted today the importance of convening a Conference on "Investment in Islamic countries," to be held in Amman next Saturday with the participation of delegations representing all Muslim countries including Saudi Arabia. In a statement issued here this morning, the Chamber said the conference will take place on the sidelines of a working meeting of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry that will be attended by 200 Islamic investment personalities. This working meeting will focus on areas of cooperation between businessmen to open the doors to investment in many Muslim countries. "It will also aim at opening new horizons for economic cooperation and trade exchange and investment between Muslim countries, and provide a new environment to facilitate business networking and building partnerships between the business community, governments, banks and institutions to engage in financing operations in the Muslim world. --MORE
