1 well tested oil in the Arab D reservoir at 9,500 feet. The well flowed 5,569 bpd of Arabian Light oil (35 degree API gravity) with 2.8 million scfd of gas at 600 psi wellhead pressure on a one-inch choke. In February, a discovery in the Unayzah Reservoir was announced, which was a deeper target (15,310 feet) in the same well. A test over this interval flowed 3,915 bpd of Arabian Super Light oil (50 degree API gravity) with 11.9 million scfd of gas at 4,466 psi wellhead pressure on 32/64-inch choke. Dirwazah-1 is 70 km south-east of Ghawar Field and 280 km south of Dhahran. Abd-Allah S. Al-Saif, senior vice president of Exploration and Producing, expressed his appreciation to the exploration and drilling crews and all the support organizations whose efforts made this significant discovery possible.
