RIYADH — Al Nassr announced on Monday the official appointment of Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus as head coach of the first football team on a one-year contract. The club confirmed the signing in a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, writing: "Jorge Jesus is the new head coach of Al Nassr's first team on a one-year contract. We wish him and his staff the best of luck with Al Nassr, God willing." Jesus, one of the most prominent names in world football management, brings extensive experience from top European and regional clubs. He previously managed Portuguese giants Benfica and Sporting Lisbon, as well as Turkish side Fenerbahçe. He also had a brief but successful stint with Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, during which he secured domestic titles. The veteran coach is expected to join Al Nassr's pre-season training soon as the team gears up for the 2025-26 campaign, with ambitions of adding silverware both domestically and on the continental stage.
