A senior Pakistani opposition leader, the husband of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, is recovering at a hospital in the United Arab Emirates after suffering a heart attack, a spokesman said Sunday. Asif Ali Zardari, 52, was hospitalized in Dubai on Friday with back pain but doctors told him he was also having a heart attack, said Nazir Dhoki, a spokesman for the opposition Pakistan Peoples Party that Bhutto heads. "By the grace of God, he is recovering. He is fine," Dhoki said. However, he said Zardari will be in hospital for a "few days." Zardari traveled to Dubai about one month ago to meet with Bhutto, who lives there in exile. Zardari, a former lawmaker and government minister, was released on bail in December after eight years in jail in Pakistan on corruption charges, according to a report of the Associated Press.
