KSrelief Supervisor General: Saudi Arabia ranks third globally in providing humanitarian assistance, biggest donor for Yemen in 2021 according to UN FTS

Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has maintained the third rank globally among the biggest donor countries of humanitarian assistance in 2021, and topped the biggest donors for Yemen according to the UN Financial Tracking Service (FTS).
He said: "The directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, for KSrelief to document the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's assistance at relevant international institutions have contributed to highlighting the great humanitarian efforts of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in realizing this big achievement that reflects the level of support and follow up of the wise leadership."
He added that this achievement perpetuates the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's international status in humanitarian work and shows the world that it is not only a donor country but also at the top of donors, noting that Saudi Arabia, throughout its history, has been and is still generous in providing assistance to the needy wherever they are and will continue to do so under this noble approach that reflects the deep values of the wise leadership and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Concluding his speech, Dr. Al Rabeeah expressed appreciation and gratitude for the wise leadership's unlimited support and concern for the humanitarian work that made the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia occupy a high international status in this field.
The 2021 UN FTS report revealed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked third after the US and Germany in the volume of humanitarian assistance with a total amount of USD 1,239,894,591, and the top global donor for Yemen with USD 934,214,049.
