Saudi Press: Health Plan for this year's Hajj is Successful
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 23 - 07 - 2021

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the health plan for hajj this year has achieved great success, with the current season free of COVID-19 and other epidemics, and it is a success deserving praise and admiration, as the task was never easy. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the directives of wise leadership, provided the highest standards of precaution and preventive measures during the Hajj season through an integrated system of measures and regulations, which began even before the pilgrims started their journeys in the Holy Sites.
The newspaper added that Saudi Arabia achieved amazing efficiency by managing tens of thousands of pilgrims in a limited geographical and time space, and was able to hold the fifth pillar without recording infections among the pilgrims, which proves Saudi Arabia's superior capabilities in facing the challenges and exceptional circumstances coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the scene the Islamic world have lived through in terms of sustaining the performance of Hajj and Umrah in security and peace, despite the exceptional circumstances imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, comes as sustainable efforts and unlimited sacrifices by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has maintained a normal life cycle despite the economic and humanitarian crises that afflict the world due to the effects of this pandemic, and comes as another indication of the strength and capacity of Saudi Arabia's economy and the effectiveness of its strategies that anticipate all future challenges.
The newspaper indicated that the announcement of the success of the health plan of the Hajj season, and that it is free from the Coronavirus and other epidemics, is a declaration that meets the well-established approach in the history of Saudi Arabia and its keenness, ability, and sacrifices to serve the Two Holy Mosques and ensure the security, comfort, and safety of all visitors of Hajj or Umrah.
