Saudi Press: Pilgrims perform Hajj amid an atmosphere full of faith and security
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 19 - 07 - 2021

Saudi newspaper highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Okaz newspaper reported in its editorial today that Muslims all around the world are witnessing pilgrims flocking to the holy site of Mount Arafat to complete performing Hajj rituals amid an atmosphere full of faith and security, while adhering to precautionary measures against the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
This scene presents to the whole world the true message of Islam, which calls for peace, justice and tolerance between nations, the newspaper added.
The paper concluded that the whole world today witnesses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's services, plans and all efforts it has exerted to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims, enabling them to perform hajj rituals with ease and comfort and in a safe and healthy environment.
In a similar context, Al-Eqtisadiah reported today in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for ages has been keen on the comfort of pilgrims. The Saudi government year after year worked on developing all services until it provided advanced and modern services. Since the era of the late founder, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during Hajj harnesses all capabilities to serve pilgrims. Additionally, all concerned government authorities exert tremendous effort in this regard.
Despite these difficult circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and its repercussions around the world, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has harnessed its efforts to serve pilgrims through applying unprecedented precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of pilgrims from this pandemic, the paper added.
Even during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was keen on enabling pilgrims to perform Hajj. It harnessed its great potential and implemented strict precautionary and preventive measures. All this resulted in a successful Hajj season with no COVID-19 cases among pilgrims last year. Numerous organizations commended the Saudi success in managing the 1441H Hajj season, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the paper concluded.
