Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum and Al-Bilad newspapers reported in their editorials that all aid that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides throughout the world are based on a leadership role, a humanitarian principle, and a consistent approach known throughout the history of Saudi Arabia since unification by its founder, King Abdulaziz Al Saud, and until this prosperous era, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia once again embodies its firm stand with Yemen and its brotherly people, through its new humanitarian support of USD 430 million to fund the United Nations Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan 2021, the newspapers added. The newspapers pointed to the amount of aid provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Yemen during the past five years which totals USD 17.3 billion, including support for the Central Bank of Yemen (USD 2 billion). Moreover, Saudi Arabia has implemented 575 multisector programs and projects in Yemen until last February. These aforementioned details are faced with the painful reality that Yemen is still living due to the practices of the terrorist Houthi militia; the Iranian arms that receive orders, support and weapons from the Tehran regime. Therefore, the international community must take a decisive and responsible stance towards the Iranian terrorist behavior that threatens humanity and worsen the humanitarian situation wherever it exists, the newspapers further said. The newspapers concluded by referring to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's keenness to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen, according to the three references, the GCC initiative and its implementation mechanisms, the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue and the Security Council Resolution No. 2216, and in a way that guarantees the preservation of Yemen's unity and its people's safety.
